  1. lol spraying the ball.
  2. because apparently soriano is one of those cats that needs "special" treatment. he is used to being told hours before the fact that he isn't going to play. i guaran-damn-tee that 90% of everyday players in major league baseball are told in advance when they are going to be getting a day off. you think derek jeter runs over to see the manager's posted lineup to see if he's going to be playing that day?
  3. peavy's one of the best keepers in the league. he's going to be limited to 200 points due to a non-arm injury. i was happy about his injury when i thought i was going to be out of it, but once i decided to stay in, he was clearly my best trade chip.
  4. blockbusters!
  5. i think he's suggesting the murder of milton bradley.
  6. i don't think you understand how contracts work. or something.
  7. Speaking of kickers, I picked him up as a free agent. He had already cleared waivers. Yeah, that's what I meant. He's not that great a commodity but would be lovely to have as an exempt player for the next 2 seasons by which time, his production should take a big step forward. i have a bunch of exempt starting pitchers available in trade. and they're all pretty good...ask tim.
  8. oh all the sudden he's a hot [expletive] commidity.
  9. That's obvious. The only reason Smith doesnt start in LF is because the dummies in the front office feel they have to at least try and play Carlos Gonzalez, who they got in the Holliday trade. Everyone around here knows what is up and is sick of it. They dont understand why the Rox won't put their best players in the field. Cargo is abysmal. Smith on the other hand, is not. .284/.400/.482, 121 AB's, 6 HR, 6 2B, 2 3B, 20 RBI, 28 walks. thats not bad at all given the limited AB's. You're right. Instead of trying to win, they're trying to prove that they won the Matt Holliday trade. you're missing the point. he just wants you to say, "hey seth smith went to ole miss. didn't YOU go to ole miss too???"
  10. also, lol to calling leadoff a position.
  11. thank goodness you're here to enlighten us simpletons.
  12. smith having gone to ole miss may get you all revved up, but i doubt it does much for anyone else.
  13. yeah, but how many of those homeruns were hit when he didn't hit a homerun? ANSWER: ZERO.
  14. the reasoning behind the statement is even better than the statement.
  15. sorey-anus. thoughts?
  16. i just hope the guy who collected his football cards isn't reading this garbage.
  17. you know who has proven he can hit? milton bradley.
  18. if peavy comes back and i can get two out of three of rollins/soriano/uggla going i can probably hang around.
  19. all in all, i'd consider the derosa trade to be a huge success.
  20. damn it, they wouldn't let me make fox a 3b when i tried last night, and i forgot to do it this morning.
  21. can i put fox in midweek at 3b once he gets eligibility there (which he'll have after tonight)? i would assume that's similar to a guy getting called up from the minors or getting activated off the DL.
  22. yeah, whoever got beckham and meche got the two best players in the trade. though if i don't start getting any offers i'm going to end up giving away half my team for a draft pick or something.
