it really makes no sense to allow teams to keep 8 friggin' guys on their bench up until the day before the season starts. those players could be picked up by other teams that are maintaining legal rosters.

yeah, especially when bruce weber own you I didn't realize the Drake job was open. so not even 2 weeks after norfolk state before you feel good enough about yourself to talk trash again. good for you. way to get back up and dust yourself off...shows resolve. I had to make sure to start off small, not go too high too soon. that's where mizzou went wrong against norfolk st.

And the quality of the coaching in the Big 12 declines even more. Self, Huggins, the Mayor and Kruger are all above average or better. Barnes and Drew are awful, but they get great players. Ford is bad. I have no idea who or what coaches TCU. Gillespie is overrated, imo. can't believe anyone would mention hoiberg with those other names...he's come a long way since his hiring was mocked by some people.

yes, all iowa needs is every good player they face to leave and every team they face to not have a good coach. that is a surefire recipe for a second consecutive NIT berth.

agreed (at least as it pertains to position players). the rules are what they are. once again, we're doing that thing where we have 5,000 exceptions to every rule. i don't care if you don't want to make bard a SP, but then you have to be allowed to use him as RP and get starts from him. otherwise, he's literally an unusable player for a month of the season and that would be nonsensical.
