  1. um...yes? obviously. Does this mean Notre Dame is not an elite football school anymore? didn't say it was the only factor. but i'm certainly far from a ND supporter.
  2. um...yes? obviously.
  3. How? I think its a top 15 program. Even if all of the teams on abucks list were better than us. That still puts us at 15. I mean sure his list is awful, he didn't include Indiana in it, but even using it we are right at 15. FINE, i'll add indiana to my list. happy? No, I think by leaving Indiana off you really showed your college basketball knowledge. and this discussion has shown yours.

Clearly the job isn't that great otherwise they wouldn't have crapped the bed on the coaching search, but you keep changing conversations between historical rankings, current ratings and how good the job is. THANK YOU

  6. WHAT IS YOUR CRITERIA, LOONEY TUNES
  7. We were ranked the number 6 program all time by the Saragin ratings. So good. so when you hired your most recent coach, you got the sixth best coach in the nation, right? Kentucky was the 75th best program in the country in 2007. let's hear your criteria for what makes a good job too, while we're at it.
  8. Lol, now you don't get the criteria for being a better job? no, i don't get your criteria for what makes a better job.
  9. will one of you insane illini fans please lay out your criteria?
  10. We were ranked the number 6 program all time by the Saragin ratings. So good. stay on task please.

  12. I like your list a lot better. But, I'd argue that UCONN s Calhoun and will fall apart fast after he is gone as it doesn't have a huge recruiting base nearby. I also don't think that Georgetown is a better job either. But, at least you listed Indiana. UConn will be fine. What is it, 2 hours from NYC and a half hour from ESPN? UConn is adopted by NY when it wins, but is largely ignored for the most part. Kind of like Illinois and Chicago's relationship? yeah, how's that working out for you.
  13. how about instead of asking me to say why final-four bound, flush-with-cash, rick-pitino-employing, 6th-most-final-fours-of-all-time, two-time-national-champion louisville is a better job than illinois, why don't you guys tell me what illinois has over louisville.
  14. That's only 14. he originally asked for 10.
  15. seriously? well, for one, rick pitino is the coach of final four bound louisville. some guy nobody has heard of is the coach of illinois.
  16. i'm not going to debate this with you on a program by program basis. if illinois was truly a top 10 job, people would have been falling all over themselves to get the job. that wasn't the case. the end.
  17. kentucky duke n carolina louisville michigan st ohio st kansas florida georgetown texas syracuse uconn marquette ucla
  18. KR has bailey on the bench because he didn't have him in his lineup by the deadline on 3/28, so he can't use him this week. i have no problem with this, obviously.
  19. yeah, you can have an illegal bench if you need to do so in order to get your seven starts.
  20. No, I don't agree with that at all. Think Corce was possibly one year away from being Shaka Smart. He would have returned everyone off of his 29 win team and would have probably made another tournament run. Furthermore he recruited every single guy on his deep run team. Something that neither Stevens or Smart can say about their teams. But hey, I'm just a psycho, not a super genius like yourself. it doesn't take a genius to know the illinois job is not a top 10 in the nation job.
  21. so you agree that if illinois was a top 10 job in the nation, they wouldn't have just hired jim croce. cool.
  22. yeah, i can't believe bill self didn't come out and say the illinois job was a rotten piece of [expletive] job that would ruin your career. So to be clear, you're still not wrong? Phew, for a second there I thought you might have been wrong. wrong about what? Illinois being a great job, or is everyone else who is paid to talk about this sort of thing wrong? i never said it was a terrible job, psycho. but obviously you overrate just how good it is. if it was truly a top 10 in the nation job, the guy from ohio wouldn't be their coach. it's that simple.
  23. yeah, i can't believe bill self didn't come out and say the illinois job was a rotten piece of [expletive] job that would ruin your career. So to be clear, you're still not wrong? Phew, for a second there I thought you might have been wrong. wrong about what?
  24. it's amazing what a 6-12 big 10 season and getting rejected by coaches from the horizon league and the colonial league does NOT do to the ego these days.
  25. yeah, i can't believe bill self didn't come out and say the illinois job was a rotten piece of [expletive] job that would ruin your career.
