  1. let's pass south carolina upstate in the rpi before we starting talking tourney. but hey, i'm all for it. makes isu's win over them look better.
  2. seth davis joining gottlieb on the iowa to the tourney bandwagon...
  3. when mizzou looks after their best interests, it's not petty (because it's millions of dollars). but when ku looks after their best interests, it's petty (because it's not millions of dollars).
  4. by the way, i'm completely disgusted with having to stick up for kansas in this debate.
  5. yeah, look at kansas, their program is in shambles.
  6. they shouldn't. just like no team should feel obligated to play a non-conference game against another team.
  7. agreed. but it comes down to both schools doing what's best for them.
  8. That goes both ways of course, it's a 150 year old rivalry(even when they weren't in the same conference, who knew you could do that?) that is incredibly popular for both fanbases. There's certainly something in it for Kansas. If they want to make a power play out of it because they're upset Mizzou is leaving the conference, that's certainly their prerogative. Just like it's my prerogative to call it hilariously petty. there's nothing in it for kansas. kansas fans, maybe, but not the university. hard for you to knock ku for making a "power play," when that's kinda what mizzou did by leaving the conference, no?
  9. yes, they could play them in basketball, but they don't want to. i'm sure coppin state would like kansas to come play them at their place every other year too, but get in line, i guess. if you want a guaranteed game every year against kansas, don't leave the conference.
  10. it's not petty. mizzou's actions nearly completely devastated ku. now mizzou wants a favor from ku? get real. the reason the teams aren't playing each other is because mizzou left the conference. if the rivalry was so precious to them, they should have stayed.
  11. yeah, i have a real hard time feeling sorry for missouri. i hope ku beats them by 1,000.
  12. OMG isu almost totally effed this up by losing to texas teach at home.
  13. lol, yeah, i'm the one that has poor social skills. the exchange from today went like this... i posted this in the middle of the darvish discussion. was directed at NO ONE. then you called me an ass again accused me of attacking you. you're acting like a complete sociopath and drama queen. i'm glad you're leaving. welcome, bukie.
  14. i say soler is for sure in the prospect draft.
  15. oh come on
  16. Always the jackass...... i thought you weren't going to talk to me.
  17. i vote you can put him in the minors. normally that would be the case, and i don't know if i really like it. i think the minor league draft was put in place a) to make sure june draftees weren't just plucked off the waiver wire mid season and b) to prevent people from drafting a ton of prospects in the major league draft (namely, tim).
  18. SPIRIT OF THE RULES.
  19. draft darvish or cespedes in the major league draft. you get to keep them no matter what. this makes the most sense. they're clearly not "prospects."
  20. they paid like 100 mil for darvish. he's not a "prospect." marlon byrd is going to be a first round pick at the rate we're watering down this draft.
  21. darvish should clearly be eligible to be picked in the major league draft. come on.
  22. good lord, where was this guy when ksu was getting their ass kicked by [expletive] oklahoma (x2)? obnoxious. anyway, both ksu and mizzou play despicable, embarrassing brands of defense. pressey basically tackled ksu's point guard once he got to half court on every possession. ksu is no better. they have nobody with any offensive skill (outside of magruder occasionally) other than just tackling defenders to grab their own shooters' bricks and put them back in. i have to say my favorite part about both of those teams is how when on the rare occasion they are called for a foul, they just act completely and totally shocked. i thought that fat blob steve moore was going to literally cry tears when he fouled out. instead of whining for the one time he got called for a hand check, pressey should be grateful for the 92 he got away with.
  23. thank you, j'covan brown. GTFO the bracket, texas.
  24. good thing drew called like 4 timeouts in a row from the 7 min mark to the 4 min mark.
  25. baylor trying to piss this away. texas hits the most wide open 3 in the history of college basketball down 4 with 1 min to go.
