  1. I'll take Kevan Barlow of the New York Jets. Jets suck.
  2. RB DeAngelo Williams.
  3. Go Fins. That is all.
  4. I'd say 2 more rounds, but I wouldn't be opposed to this one being the last.
  5. Does it have to be only last names or can we resign Mel Rojas and include him? Manny Alexander also wants in the club! Remeber the F Squad? Farnsworth, Fassero, and Flash!
  6. I think they were just excited the game was over and they could leave the park.
  7. When Jacque Jones was Pie's age, he was at USC and played 1 game in High A ball. That fact makes me happy.
  8. 4th & Goal selects TE Randy McMichael
  9. I don't see them putting Jones in CF. It's probably the best option, but it's not going to happen.
  10. Eisley's contract wasn't guaranteed. The Bulls traded Smith and waived Eisley to make room for Griffin's salary and open up a roster spot for Adrian. Right, they wanted the draft picks but had to take the player, so they dumped the player right after acquiring him. They actually wanted that player because they could dump him after clearing Smith's salary. The two second-round picks will be lucky to make the Bulls roster next year. Oh okay. Thanks. I didn't know his contract wasn't guaranteed so I didn't get the term requested waivers. Seems like a pretty solid move to me. I can't wait for the football and basketball seasons!
  11. I like that idea, too. .. .. I just haven't figured out who wuld be our lead off hitter. Our fearless leaders would be tempted to put Izturis there. Or sign Soriano and use him there.... Soriano will be looking to move back to 2B though which does nothing to help our OF. I'd rather keep Izturis/Cedeno up the middle and try for a big bat in the OF. If we decide that Murton isn't the answer in LF, I wouldn't mind seeing Hendry go after Mench if he's rather cheap and then go all-out for a RF. First of all, I'm pretty sure JH will resign Pierre for CF. Even if he doesn't, I doubt Jones would move to CF. Therefore, Jones is going to occupy one of the corner outfield spots (likely with Murton as a platoon partner). I could see Carlos Lee being brought in as the LF with the previously mentioned platoon in RF and Pierre in CF. Izturis and Cedeno up the middle with Aramis and DLee at the corners and Barrett behind the plate. Starting rotation of Z, Prior, Schmidt, and 2 of the young guys. A bullpen comprised of Dempster, Eyre, Howry, and guys like Wuertz, Ohman, Novoa, etc to fill it out. That, I'm afraid, is our 2007 Chicago Cubs team.
  12. Nice to see Pie, Colvin, Harvey, EPatt, and Ryu (among others) have a good day.
  13. 21 national TV apperances this season. 4th most in the NBA. I can certainly live with that :D Yeah, living at school in the fall we don't get Comcast Sportsnet. Therefore, the more national TV appearances the better.
  14. Didn't see this mentioned. J.R. Smith to Denver At the end is says "The Bulls then requested waivers on Eisley on July 21." What does that mean?
  15. He has 39 games played at CF and 29 in LF. He will qualify at both positions next year. I was also offered Felipe Lopez and Adam Wainwright or Aaron Heilman for him so you could swing him that way and get a good young solid SS and solid reliever/future starter. Hitting in front of Mark Teahan, Billy Butler, and Alex Gordon in the future should make him a top leadoff hitter in the game.
  16. We have come very far as a society in regards to race relations. Before, racism and prejudice people were the norm and now they are the exception. It's crappy that things like this happen, no doubt, but we have come a long way.
  17. I'm fairly certain Juan Pierre will still be around in 07 and beyond. For what it's worth I'd rather have Pierre than GM Jr. Player's rarely figure it out when they're 31/32. I think we have a better chance seeing the Pierre of the past 2 months than seeing the Sarge Jr of this year. However, if GM Jr would come at a cheaper price, I'd probably rather have him for a 3 year deal or somthing. Let me make it clear that I don't think either is a good option though.
  18. PLEASE let me be the one that has to suck it up and get paid millions of dollars to play a game I've paid to play my entire life.
  19. My tickets to the September 12th game may have some use after all. Hopefully Maddux pitches that night.
  20. Where is the "good" option? just kidding. it's proof of JH's incompetence.
  21. Great post. Your optimism, while still being realistic, is really refreshing. Thank you.
  22. I hate you, Cubs. Thank god the Dolphins make me happy.
  23. I would say Abreu is better. Plays better defense, runs better, has a much higher OBP and even in Abreu's down year, he puts up an OPS at about what we can expect C Lee to put up. Lee isn't a bad option, but an outfield of Lee, Pierre, Jones while Cedeno and Izturis are our MI is NOT going to get it done. I hope I'm wrong, but that's pretty much what I expect our starting lineup to be opening day 2007.
  24. 31 K's in 23 IP for Ceda, but also 13 BBs.
