  1. At least when Reed comes back, he can go to center and leadoff, and we can get the lineup back to normal.
  2. Not that unbelievable. The Cubs and Sox are both great at home and poor on the road.
  3. The past few years, the White Sox have pulled way too many players off the scrap heap and made stars out of them. Im not saying, Im just saying. Like who? I wouldn't say Linebrink was off the scrap heap either. -Linebrink 2008 -Dye 2005 -Pyrzynskie 2005 -Podsednik 2005 -Quentin 2008(maybe not Quentin, as he could just be getting more of an opportunity) -Thortnon 2007 Are you unaware that Linebrink has several good season in a row? And none of the other guys are out of the ordinary. Dye has been pretty amazing this year and in '05. Linebrink was good but not like this. Thornton was garbage, and now suddenly unhittable.
  4. The past few years, the White Sox have pulled way too many players off the scrap heap and made stars out of them. Im not saying, Im just saying. Basically every team other than the Cubs (besides Edmonds) does it. We all know the Cards are the best at it. on xm they include reed johnson as a scrap heaper who has done well for the cubs. Reeds been good for us, but hes basically just been putting up the numbers he did when healthy with Toronto.

  7. one or both of the seans will probably get dealt by the deadline, so the rotation slot problem will probably get solved that way. it will be interesting to see who loses their slot when z returns, though. Maybe Marshall, but I cant see Gallagher going anywhere unless a top of the line starter comes in return.
  8. That will probably be the last inning for Marshall, and the last time we see him for a very long time, but aside from 1 bad pitch to a less than competant Brain Anderson, he has nothing to be ashamed of. In fact if nothing else, he might have made Jason Marquis a bit nervous.
  9. So were going to be swept, and the Sox fans will be all condescending when their making our Whoppers.
  10. I finally did it. I finally put him on my foes list. First NSBBer ever to make it on my ignored list. I thought I made it a while ago.
  11. Swing for the fences on every pitch Jimmy. Theres no point letting it come down to Blanco and Cedeno.
  12. Weve been beating a lot of good pitchers this year, at least at home. Weve just been underestimating how horrible this team is on the road.
  13. On the bright side, The Giants scored 11 on the A's today, so that should be their run allotment for the week.
  14. Larry King Live is a tribute to George Carlin. VH-1 no doubt has the I Love the New Millenium series on, which they have had on non stop rotation all week.
  15. At least Buerhle didnt sign with the Cards like he wanted to.
  16. By the way, congratulations to the new best team in baseball, The Tampa Bay Rays?!?
  17. Good to see Theriot still making dumb baserunning mistakes.
  18. That was a beautiful job by Marshall leaving them high and dry, so hopefully that and Lous ejection by the minor league ump will get these boys fired up.
  19. Not even, hed have to go through waivers, and some team would pick him up. Not that Id be broken hearted or anything.
  20. The good thing about having low expectations of a player is that they rarely let you down.
  21. Well, its been a fun fake mini rally, but here comes Ronny to end it.
  22. A lengthy rain dely could be the best thing for us. Either A. it forces Buehrle out of the game or B. the game is called and rescheduled for a later date, hopefully when this team has its act together.
