  1. I have a strange feeling were going to go 5-2 through the rest of this trip.
  2. I cant wait until the get the hell over yourself, its a joke option is added. You'll be the first. This makes less sense than the defensive indifference rule in baseball. Just my way of telling this character to get over himself, it's a joke, but since he put me on ignore, he'll never get the message.
  3. Hmm, I wonder which team they'll bring him up to face.
  4. I cant wait until the get the hell over yourself, its a joke option is added. You'll be the first.
  5. When will they finally get it right and start calling it Manny being a douche bag?
  6. heres a picture of the CUbs getting of the plane in San Fran http://www.ajbrown.eu.com/IMAGES/TynesideScottish1/pictures2/WALKING.JPG
  7. But vs. Josh Hamilton and the Yank Sox, were going to need some big time offense. Griffey hasnt brought that to the table in quite some time. Hopefully, they'll give him 1 inning and put in someone good.
  8. Burnett and Bedard are the most likel scenerios. Maybe Byrd or Arroyo if we cant get the other 2 and they come cheap. As for Sheets, the Brewers could fall 25 games out of first, and we offer the entire farm system, and they wouldnt send him our way.
  9. In the immortal words of John Miller, or maybe it was Joe Morgan, "he's adjusting to the adjusters"
  10. If this is a "forfeit lineup", Id say were in pretty good shape. Granted, Ronny Cedeno has officially joined Neifi Perez, Jose Macias, Ramon Martinez and Rey Ordonez in the worhthtless Latin American Cubs middle infielders of the past 5 years club, but maybe hes do.
  11. Whatever happens, Griffey being ahead of Braun, Kosuke, or even Ludwick is a travesty. Theres a long list of outfielders who should be ahead of Griffey.
  12. Since you're going to be the prognosticator..... are we going to have home field advantage for that series? Maybe, maybe not, but home will just be a train ride away
  13. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080629&content_id=3032466&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc Im going to go ahead and say it: I want the NL to win the game, and Braun gives us the better chance than Fukudome. What I dont get is why Griffeys so high up there. I could understand Braun being in 3rd, but with Griffey ahead of him? I mean come on, did some huge group of fans wwho havnt watched baseball in 5 years decide to form some massive voting block?
  14. Does it sound bad that while I do feel for him and his family, Im relieved that its not injury related? At least he'll be around for the Linecum game. I think.
  15. Without Aramis, our lineup looks 2006 bad. Kosuke, Soto, and Edmonds are going to need to step up big time.
  16. I do have some friends who are Brewers fans, and the funny thing is how they seem to repeatedly ignore the fact that their is another team in the standings between the Cubs and Brewers.
  17. Final score, pending the Yanks/Pirates game that was rained out AL-149 NL-102 Look like a lop sided basketball score. No 1 NL team hit double digits in wins. Ive never wanted to win an All Star game so bad.
  18. Im not a big fan of the .598 winning%. .603 looked a lot prettier on paper.
  19. Step 1: Fill out job aplication Step 2: Complete successful interview Step 3: Go to work Step 4: Dont mess up my order. I said NO MAYO
  20. Zambrano Burnett Dempster Lilly Gallagher/Marquis
  21. Worry level-medium to low Frusteration level-throught the roof.
  22. Plus, I really cant see that pen dominating all the way through to the end.
  23. So on to San Francisco, and nobodys happier than Jim Edmonds. Sorry, I have nothing against Jimmy, I just couldnt resist.
  24. A well placed gust of wind could kill Alexei Ramirez.
  25. Is it me or do closers seem to just toy with the Cubs offense when that 9th inning rolls around? It seems we always get something brewing, and kill the rally as quickly as it got started.
