  1. another 2fer for Colvin. Could he be salvageable? I didnt even realise that Gooz was back. Hed be a nice September call up. Any chance of that happening?
  2. Why on earth do we need another starter? If he is ready to contribute at all this year, he wont be any more effective than Marquis, so whats the point of signing a guy who wont even make the playoff roster?
  3. I dont see the Brewers losing any to the Natspos this weekend, but it would be nice to send the Cards 9 games back. Very nice indeed.
  4. Hopefully Big John Broxton can close the deal for us.
  5. Good to see Eyre catch on someplace. Who knows, maybe this Schlitter character cando something for us down the road.
  6. Surely the Los Angeles Mannys can scrape out one win from the mighty Cardinals in their own house.
  7. Apparently, its the Red Sox, so if he mad it to the Red Sox, he could have made it to the Cubs. Anyway, the Red Sox are one of the teams he has a right to block a trade to, but I dont see why he would, unless of course he enjoys playing for a go nowhere team.
  8. The Cubs sound like a logical candidate. Hendry was looking for a bat off the bench at the deadline. The Mets make the most sense however, as hed likely get the starting job in left. Cardinals and D-Backs are other likelies.
  9. Colvin seems to be getting it together lately.
  10. So I tuned into the Sox game for a a minute, just in time to hear the Hawk say that in his opinion, the 3 best teams in baseball are the Angels, The White Sox, and The Cubs. He may want to replace the White Sox with the Rays, but hey, Ill take it even from a babling moron.
  11. So much for "ground ball pitcher" Derrek Lowe. he just got the hook for some guy named Ramon Troncoso.
  12. Its all good, we'll just have to bury them ourselves this weekend. never send boys to do mens jobs.
  13. Ludwick joins in the fun with a solo shot. Nice knowing you Dodgers.
  14. And a Grand Slam it is. You suck Lowe.
  15. Bases loaded. 1 out. Pujols.
  16. He'll definitely get consideration. Ryan Braun may end up with it though. Ryan Braun does not deserve the MVP. He's basically putting up Soriano numbers (no walks). A lot of guys are outproducing Braun. MVP isnt the best player, its the most valuable to his team. Take Braun out of the Brewers lineup, and you basically have the Reds or Astros. That's not fair. So a guy like Pat Burrell, who is outproducing Braun, shouldn't win because he happens to play for a better lineup? Anyways Puljols is way more valuable to his team than Braun. The MVP should be for the best player. Braun isn't even in the top 5 right now. Wow, I didnt realise how good Pat the Bat was doing. At least hes not just killing us anymore. The basis of the award is supposed to be the most valuable player to his team, but thats not how its always given out. Is it the most valuable to his team, or the most valuable in general? I don't think that the team a guy plays for should impact his chances at the MVP. I agree. Thats why they should have seperate major awards, or at least chanbe it to the ofensive player of the year. The Babe Ruth award or something like that.

  19. Cards have Felipe Lopez playing left. interesting.

  21. Anyone but the damn Fish.
  22. http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20080806&content_id=3264277&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc Lou says hes fine
  23. I was actually about to point out the opposite. How it was funny nobody had posted a thing about Theriot being pulled, other than a lurker in the post game thread out of nowhere. If it had been Harden or Ramirez or Soto or basically anyone else, there probably would've been a thread up immediately. Just kind of funny. He ran OK, but not at 100%, he played defense the next inning. Im not too worried. I do think they should have taken him out immediatly with the 7 run lead however.
