If the game does resume, thats where its great to have a guy like Sean Marshall avlailable. He can give us the next 4 innings, or if a save situation comes up, 3 innings, and then someone not named Bob or Scott can take over.
So this is where the lack of patience beats us. Had we not swung at everythig in sight in the first 3 innings, the rain could have kicked in at the middle or op of the 5th. Personally, I think that 7 innings should be when the games made official. I think it would be fair to consider a game official after 7, or after 5 if 1 team has a 5 run lead.
It might be....the T-storm is in the Western suburbs. Hopefully Dempster can pitch a Steve Traschle inning here. Not the giving away 5 runs part, the lasting 2 hours part.
+1!!! That would be awesome. I don't know how I would fare though, being that I will likely always live in Indianapolis, but already have a Cubs tattoo... hmm Indianpolis would be a nice city for an american league team. That could be the start of a great rivalry with the White Sox. I always thought it wrong that Indiana didnt have a team but Missouri has 2. Anyway, I dont see an expansion in the near future. Doesnt anyone else remember a few years back when the were continuing eliminating 2 teams from the league?
4.03 WHIP is a bad WHIP. It's catastrophic. Is that really true? I think he meant ERA. Wandy would be back down in low-A if he had a 4.03 WHIP over a sustained period of time. That would also equal giving up roughly a run per inning. Thats a quick ticket to the minors unless your names Bob Howry.
