To be honest, I just checked McCovey Chronicles, the SF news paper, did a Google search for 'randy winn cubs' went to BCB, and looked at the ESPN and MLB.com Giants message boards and didn't see anything on it. Yeah I cant find anything at all about the Cubs Usually when theres the slightest inkling of a trade, no matter how minor, MLBtraderumors has something on it, and rotoworld isnt too far behind, but neither of them have anything on it.

Sounds like a great deal for us, but Im having trouble understanding how a dead in the water team like the Giants would want Ward whose a FA next year, unless we're throwing in a decent prospect, and they think they can turn around and send Ward to a contender for another prospect.

I think that there are a lot of teams out there that would kill to have Fukudome at his worst at the 8 spot in the order, and is there anyone on the bench whose enough of an upgrade offensively that would make it worth taking away Kosukes defense? -
