  1. It seems hes thrown that first pitch fastball down the middle to every batter, and every batter has just stood there.
  2. He knew he was out. Just a little acting. Now lets get Ludwick.
  3. Only moronic Sox announcers pick a "pick to click", and speaking of moronic Sox announcers http://www.beloblog.com/ProJo_Blogs/SoxBlog/hawk04.jpg
  4. I offically hope that Eric Byrnes never returns from his injuries. Anyone watching the Fox pre game show will understand why.
  5. 7 of our 9 starters OPSing over .800. See thats what makes our lineup so dangerous. We may not have a Braun or a Pujols, but we have a lineup full of guys who are capable of making something happen. No easy outs here.
  6. Fonzi The Riot Lee Ram Edmonds D-Ro Fuku Soto Z vs. Skippy Kennedy Pujols Ludwick Lopez Glaus Molina Welle Miles
  7. I did say if completely healthy. If Pedro were to ever stay healthy, he and Johan would be one hell of a 1-2 punch.
  8. Not awesome at all, because hed be suspended for a very, very long time.
  9. With Carpenter and now Wainwright on his way back, the Cards could actually have legit pitching. Will it be too late? Which brings me to the question, what is the most formidable 1-2 punch as far as starting pitching gos, of course assuming both guys are healthy. I suppose a deciding factor for the pitching staff a as a whole is that the Cubs(Demp), Backs(Johnson), Red Sox(Lester) and Angels(Lackey) all have a solid #3 behind them.
  10. Hoping for the Nationals to beat Sabathia is like hoping for a one-legged, blind opossum to successfully cross an Interstate at the peak of rush hour. I guess that opossom made it across when Marquis beat Halliday. Sabathia doesnt have the anemic Blue Jays offense behind him.
  11. Hes beaten the Rockies, Reds, Giants, Cardinals, Braves, and now Natspos. Aside from the Cards, these are well sub .500 teams. Its very impressive that he keeps going the distance, but hes faced 2 legit teams in the Cards who he spanked and the Cubs who treated him to his shortest outing since the trade.
  12. The question is, how many outfielders do we need? Kosuke and Soriano are the obvious. I cant see Reed Johnson not coming back, and then theres Pie. Its too early to give up on Pie, so he'll have ST to earn a job. Then theres Daryle Wards job, the first guy off the bench. Obviously, Wards gone next season. So do you give Edmonds a few million dollars to do that job, or use the much cheaper Hoffpauir for it?
  13. So I took a moment to read good old Elias' profile. Its pretty ammusing. Take a peak. Here are my favorite parts
  14. There's really no excuse not to win this game and win it big.
  15. Just because he didnt give any up today doesnt mean is is one.
  16. In semi-related news, the Orioles recalled Rocky Ty Cherry today.
  17. Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers on beating the Brooklyn Brawler of Major League Baseball teams.
  18. I can proudly say Im the only one who was all for Edmonds as a bench bat since day 1. Granted, I had no idea how much of an impact hed have, I was just expecting a decent lefty off the bench.
  19. Id seriously pay money just to punch this guy in the face.
  20. The Cards need at least 2 of these, and probably all 3, to keep their division hopes alive. I'm hoping Lou can practice a little jujitsu when LaRussa starts overmanaging and really pin these guys to the wall. GO CUBS!!! All 3 pitching matchups favor us, including Dempster/Carpenter, as long as our offense realises that the key with him is to drive up his pitch count early. From what we've seen thus far there's a good chance the offense realizes the key to beating any pitcher is diving up his pitch count. Obviously, but with Carp in particular. He was pulled from his last outing with 50 some pitches after 5 just before the rain delay. I cant see him getting more than 80 this time, unless TLR hates the Cubs so much that he's willing to risk re injuring the guy.
  21. Ryan Ludwick and Rick Ankiel picked the wrong weekend to misplace their HGH stash.

  23. Pujuols will go 9-14 this series, 3 HRs, 4 2Bs, 3 BBs, Cubs lose all 3 by a combined score of 24-6 Lets see, Brewers enter Cardinals house, sweep them. Cubs enter Brewers house, sweep them. I suppose it would complete the circle. Still, It aint gonna happen. They'll be exposed or what they really are.
  24. I had my heart set on a 7-2 home stand, and the 2 are already accounted for. Remember when we used to lay waste to everyone who dared enter Wrigley? Lets do that again.
