  1. Right now, now. If they win the cup then it will be Crawford or another hawk
  2. Nice to feel good about a team. I had them losing game 3 and winning 4 before the Keith suspension made it a toss up. Certainly not over yet, but it's over.
  3. Wait a minute. He spells Chris with a K. I need to reevaluate
  4. yeah, pretty much. That show with Brian Kenny has ruined him. He's went into full meatball. He was ruined a decade ago
  5. Who'd you want last year? I'm pretty happy with the pick despite my last minute change of heart. Same reasons I wanted Bryant to begin with. In most years I don't really have a preference I probably wasn't enamored with the hs bat boosted by all that grit, but not actually against it
  6. Suck it people who wanted somebody else!!! Probably the first time ever the cubs took the guy I wanted them to take.
  7. Not familiar with Tyler Bremmer, but have to love the 3/27 BB/K in 27 IP. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the former regime drafted him twice, out of a ... JuCo? ... and then Baylor. Off the top, I think his fastball tops out around 90. Throws a change, I think, that comes in around 80/81. I think he has a slider that comes in around 84/85, and a curve around 75-77. Off the top, none of the pitches, IIRC, are plus, and he might be more a guy with 4 average pitches. To be honest, haven't pondered him in awhile. Off the top, I think the change is his best pitch. Off the top of your head you know all that? Off the top?

  9. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/goodell-third-game-london-likely-205113429--nfl.html Is he going to suggest alternative dates that fit better with the city schedule? That will not be necessary, but they would prefer a 1:20 kickoff.
  10. Is that Meadows? I checked the list of who is attending the draft and identified everyone to the left of black socks and shorts (obviously don't need much help in identifying Judge or Frazier). Well whoever it is, I don't want him. I like pink shirt with fancy socks guy though.
  11. Denney is definitely singable. He had a bit of a down season to drop him to the back half of the first round but he might go higher because he's singable. This word, I do not think it means what you think it means.
  12. And the Vikings are having Jeff George help Ponder
  13. Jonny Oil/Vinegar/Egg yolk has this one:
  14. Which one is the guy with black shoes and black socks wearing shorts?
  15. Why don't you think MLB teams are bothered by Gray's use of adderall? We don't know they aren't bothered. Even if some teams aren't bothered by it, there's just as good a chance, if not greater, that many teams are bothered by it. Eh, can only base it on the reporting so far. My point is, if they Aren't concerned,. Then i'm not concerned. If they are, then sure, i'd be as well. So far, the reporting suggests the former. Pre-draft "reporting" is only purposeful leaks.
  16. still last in walks, some combination of free swinging hitters plus pitchers that aren't afraid to pitch to guys, since there's not many guys on base in the first place.
  17. The Pirates' collapse has maybe begun? That'd help a lot, though we probably won't win nearly enough for it to matter. Yeah, it's Cincy and Colorado that they have to worry about more than Pittsburgh, but a sweep would be nice. As an aside, ESPN is still stupidly showing wild card standings "game back" category as only how far back teams are to the 2nd wild card, and not how far ahead the 1st wild card is. MLB's app, and I assume the website changed it up this year and show the leader's games back as a +X.Y in comparison to the 2nd wild card. But I don't see why they don't just list how far back everybody is to the leader, and you already know that 2nd place still gets in. If you're a fan of the team in the first wild card slot or just curious about how much of hold they have on the spot, you want to know their status.
  18. First of all I had a splitting headache last night, so I couldn't make it past the 9th. Secondly, Barney batting leadoff is still among the worst decisions of the season. I think most fans would agree. You think that Barney batting leadoff in a game is among the worst decisions of the season? I don't think it registers at all.
  19. Why don't you think MLB teams are bothered by Gray's use of adderall? We don't know they aren't bothered. Even if some teams aren't bothered by it, there's just as good a chance, if not greater, that many teams are bothered by it.
  20. If his defense remains in doubt how are you giving him both fielding and throwing as tools? Your description sounds similar to a Theriot/Barney when they were coming up. Without the lockdown defensive excellence of Barney. Such prospects are able to provide value, if they don't have any setbacks and continue to improve on their way up. The problem as I see it is tons of guys fit into that description at one point or another in the minors, you can see them translating their limited minor league production into major league performance, but more often than not, they don't actually get it done. Or if they do, they end up with a 3-4 year window of being of use. They need to pretty much be in the majors by 24 because by 28/29, it's over. So, while that can be useful if everything works out, I find it really hard to be impressed by it.
  21. There'd be nobody left on any team if that was called. Slashing hardly ever gets called unless someone winds up with a broken stick, the player does it repeatedly or it happens in the middle of the ice (as in this case). I still think the Hawks can win this game. What bothers me is that they could have given him a fine and no one would have been crying foul. Shea Weber rammed Zetterbergs head into the end boards and got a $2,500 fine. Duncan Keith makes a dumb slash without intent to actually harm and gets a game. The fact that they gave him a double minor instead of 5 and out tells me that the on ice officials didn't believe he was trying to injure him. It's the random nature of the discipline that makes no sense. If suspensions are supposed to be a deterrent, the players need to know what will happen when they do something that they shouldn't. I don't get the Blackhawks fans trying to pretend this was random and didn't make sense. He purposefully hit him with his stick, the theory that there was no intent to injure is absurd, there was intent to hit him with the stick, and in that intent he hit him in the face. It's pretty much cut and dried.
  22. Hope it isn't anything serious for Contreras. wonder what an "inactive list" means.
