    I don’t pay much attention to which writers are the biggest jock sniffers and which carry the water for management. But this is just silly on a bunch of levels. The bears suck. This season has been nothing short of a disaster. Last year was terrible. Eberflus has been awful. I don’t care what nicknames he gives guys to keep it light.

    It’s not like Fields has never had back to back decent games. He just came off two quite good ones.

    9.5 points in some places, but Vegas expects Mack to make Bagent’s second act difficult. The Chargers have lost three games to good teams and a 4th to a weak Titans team. They aren’t barn burners, but they don’t suck. as always I expect a competent veteran QB to take care of business against this defense. the Bears in primetime or national games typically either results in a shocking win against a terrible team in disguise as not that bad, until they lose to the Bears (Commanders/Patriots) or an ugly pathetic loss (packers, Chiefs, Commanders last year).

    No, you don’t just come in as a QB and run the show. The QBs success or lack thereof is determined as much by circumstance as by their ability. Guys can become studs that determine the fate of the offense in their own, but very few just are that the day they show up. Coaches have to coach young QBs.

    They played in a bunch of big market/original 6 teams’ home openers, and they definitely pushed the Bedard story. They’ll be less noticeable when they play the Columbus and Ottawas of the world.

    I think there are numerous fans that will be thrilled to have the bears finish 1-16, fire Eberflus and allow Poles to run the draft.

    I also like the idea, but in this case I’m not sure the process will be with it. They struck gold in having the garbage Panthers as their trade partner last year. If they trade down and end up with an extra 1 in the 2025, it may be high 20s. You’d better be certain you are getting the right value in this years draft to make it worth settling for lesser players. this team needs blue chippers.

    It’s on the front office and coaching staff. unfortunately, fans actually think being the worst team in any league is good. So Poles might get to come back. But the team is worse now than it was when he took over and he’s had plenty of time and resources to make it better. you can’t waste a once in a generation opportunity to completely remake this team this offseason by letting the same guy that dragged it into the abyss make the decisions.
