    Wow. They healthy scratched Reichel yesterday. I think this is part of the danger of intentionally being bad. Your good players don’t have any good players to play with and are routinely overwhelmed by superior competition. Thankfully Bedard isn’t merely good. But they really run the danger of ruining their opportunity if all they do is keep losing

    Every time I click on this topic there’s 4 people saying we do not know if ohtani likes LA or not, another person miscalculating flight times, somebody else referencing a random Asian country and three posts from a media member saying he might decide within a week or 10 days.

    Don’t go see the Yankees, their stadium is one of the worst in the league. Beer, I’d go with a half dozen pregame, half dozen at the game and maybe 8-10 more after. Id stay somewhere you won’t need a car and on that note I’d also avoid Wisconsin, as drunk driving is mandatory there. don’t rush into a ticket purchase. You can always get tickets.

    The issue is not their view on the sport. The issue is their ability to hire and retain the correct executives.

    The only thing that tells me Eberflus is on the hot seat is he hasn’t hired a replacement DC yet. Maybe he wasn’t allowed to, or maybe guys turned him down. Either of those are telling. Now, the alternative is he wanted to turn things around himself and make himself irreplaceable.

    That’s fine, but this is a really dumb response to this story. By all accounts they handled this appropriately, canning a high paying employee with cache who did something inappropriate involving a lower level employee.

    This happened shortly after the John Doe #2 lawsuit was filed. There’s a lot he could have thought and vocalized to the wrong people about that story, similar to how veterans at the time reacted originally. alternatively, he could have made sexual advances to an employee. “Drunken buffoonery” covers a wide range of things, but the wrong ones can and will create a toxic work environment that can invite lawsuits. I’m not sure the NHLPA would want to fight for a guy that tried to Don Draper a marketing associate.

    If they win two more, and one of those is Green Bay, with a defense playing well while the offense sputters, I could easily see them justify in their heads the return of Eberflus. That’s double the win total from last year and beating the preseason predictions of 5.5, while stabilizing his side of the ball. They won’t blame a defensive head coach for the failure of a qb, and I think they’ll be happy to pull a Kyle and blame everything on fields.

    Of the three of them. I think Fields is least likely to stay. I think Poles and Eberflus gets another crack at a QB and OC, especially if the defense continues to improve.
