  1. Uh, they said those bullpens will still be moved under the bleachers they just won't widen the doors as previously proposed.
  2. all things considered a couple Ks from Lake and Olt were probably better than alternative DPs.
  3. CAN'T WALK ACROSS HOME PLATE (Dusty Baker really wasn't that bad at all)
  4. Yep, follow the Detroit model. Sharp most definitely will be gone after the upcoming season. Hasn't the Detroit model in the hard cap era been to get worse every year?
  5. I hated Jeff Blauser for that contract. Was it Ed Lynch that signed him? A 30-something middle infielder coming off a career year and they quoted his numbers at Wrigley in his career, ignoring that he was playing a crappy Cubs team in those games, and they were meaningless.
  6. No, I was scared to death of his hiring but more or less indifferent toward his tenure.
  7. Nailed it Meh. I hated Dusty, but I'm over it. He won 6 playoff games with the Cubs--more than the rest of the managers since 1945 COMBINED. And, let's be honest, Wood and Prior probably get hurt with or without his pushing, especially Wood who was hurt before and hurt after. Besides facing Mike Lowell over Lenny Harris, not visiting Prior on the mound, and forcing LaTroy Hawkins to close (which was a Hendry failure as much as Dusty), he really wasn't that bad. ABSURD Dusty never won a game. Hendry put together a pretty good ballclub and handed the keys to the worst possible manager. It was a disaster that was bound to happen.
  8. I just figured it was something they could do quickly (relatively speaking) since it wouldn't be impeded at all by the baseball season, but I could see how having all that construction going on around it after it's open wouldn't be ideal for business. Plus PTR But building new structures is never something that happens on schedule, especially in cities like Chicago.
  9. Meant to say "chunks" but point still stands. so much better as junks
  10. Bruce Miles ‏@BruceMiles2112 2m Look today for Barney to be reinstated, Rosscup recalled and Hendricks and Parker being optioned to Iowa. #Cubs
  11. Rizzo with lots of love in northern NJ, but WTF fellow Hudson Countiers?
  12. Kinda crazy that the first part to be rebuilt is the part that was actually already rebuilt like 8 years ago, but also makes complete sense since that's where the big stuff is happening with the signs/lights. Is there a map showing where all these lots (brown, purple, gold, red)?
  13. I don't think he did that, he just pointed out they may not be in that discussion in a couple years.
  14. I don't think many organizations are going to be embarrassed about how they stack up against the Cubs at the end of this season.
