    16 wins out of 28... wouldn't that be a 69 pace? No? 162/28= 5.8 (rounded up) 5.8x16= 92.8 what a weird way to do it 16/28 = .571 .571x162=92.5 my way is totally better (but i like your answer a little better so nm) I was confused by his way.

    It has it's issues, but I like getting the calls right. if only they always did they get more right than they used to, which is a step in the right direction. i saw tons of flaws in the implementation before they even started it, though. that is to be expected when you introduce a system that basically serves to correct the mistakes of men who refuse to believe they could make mistakes.

    Doesnt' Goodell want to add more? I kinda can't stand him anymore Wants a 18 game regular season, yes. But I'm pretty sure that would mean only 2 preseason games. I believe that's right, the 2 weeks gained by cutting the preseason would go towards an extra game+bye week. Yeah, I've never heard anybody talk about adding preseason games. The whole thing has been about an acknowledgement that preseason sucks but not wanting to get rid of the gate receipts (although those must pale in comparison to the TV money). It might be better to see something like a B bracket tournament. Let four or eight teams that don't make the playoffs play some more games, and give the winner of that tournament something like the 5th pick in the draft. Some 9-7 doomed to miss the playoffs and still draft 20th has a chance to play for playoff shares and a boost to the next year's team.

    Seems weird to me to be pulled midgame with the cubs on an off day. Could be Ruggiano headed to the DL, and they needed him for tomorrow since the Cubs insist on carrying 13 pitchers. Right, but they figured that out at 10pm on an off day?

    The pronunciation of Baltimore by Baltimoreans? Baltimoreites? That whole mid-atlantic philly to Baltimore area has a terrible accent that is underplayed in American media.

    Balmer is very provincial and has a terrible inferiority complex. If Chicago is the 2nd city, Balmer suffers in the region because it's not DC and not Philly. One person describes it as "it's where you dump your McDonald's trash coming back from a Redskins game'. They hate out of towners, especially Chicagoans, because Bob Irsay was from Chicago and it it tore the heart out of the city when he moved the Colts. They're still mad that 'The Sun' took 'Baltimore' off the masthead because research indicated Balmer was regarded as a small city. And O's fans wanted 'Baltimore' on the road jerseys, not just the 'Orioles'. The team refused. They hate Chicago because Robert Irsay was born there? That's a commitment to hate that I can appreciate.

    Not sure when you were there, but that organization had plenty of years where they were at or near the top in attendance (especially post-Camden) and often went neck and neck with the Yankees for top payroll in baseball. They went through a ridiculously bad streak of losing, and losing big, and it hurt their attendance, but they have a legit base of support.
