  1. Kyle Long ‏@Ky1eLong · 7m “@peanuttillman: Time to get my happy medicine and go night night... pic.twitter.com/X0tOHpYm2X” best of luck peanut
  2. For shame. http://thegamechicago.com/2014/09/23/rookie-infusion-draft-picks-help-bears-defense-hold-off-jets/ Before you know it, this is gonna fulfill Kyle's common usage standards. It's called tellin' not spellin'
  3. I will say this for the running game. 1) It was probably not a huge part of the playbook to begin with, given our struggles with running the ball so far, and the Jets being a very good run stopping defense. But also, 2) once Fiametta left due to injury, they probably abandoned even more of the run game. They still used Forte with those short over the top dump passes to make up for some of what they weren't getting in the rushing game. That one sweep was kind of ballsy and good.
  4. Was it him or Fuller that ended up touching it out of bounds? DJ Williams should have recovered the fumble in bounds but one of those 2 got to it first...not a very heads up play. Fuller I will not attack Fuller because he's awesome and the best player ever but that and the running out of the end zone after the int [-X Oh god yeah that run-out, why why why?
  5. Well I didn't see much in the way of replay I just saw him literally spinning in a circle on one play right in front of me and he looked like he was frustrated with himself there. Oh, and there was a pathetically timed helicopter flyover after the anthem that convinced me the Bears were going to win. Jets do nothing right. (well, except for making all the middle aged white guys nostalgic for Wayne Chrebet)
  6. Oh, also Geno Smith makes some terrible throws. Like not even toward anybody in particular.
  7. The guy who runs full speed into 320 lbs linemen who are trying to twist him into the ground over and over for 130 consecutive games should have thought "I better not broad jump four feet because I wouldn't want to hurt myself." The worst part of the injury is the joy it brings to all the "act like you've been there before" idiots who idolize that weirdo Barry Sanders. I concur.
  8. Not sure why they didn't challenge the obvious fumble near the sideline. Cutler missed some big throws with open guys, and on one snap you could see the pre-snap read should have led to a very quick dump off to Bennett but they took a quick sack. Fuller is a playmaker, but he also got turned around a few times leaving decent cushions. Not sure how great his coverage ability will be but he should be an impact DB nonetheless. Aside from A-Hole chants at a Bears fan getting tossed out early in the game, the thing I heard most last night was, "62 is eligible.". Not that this is new but it's really striking to see how often they go with the extra linemen. The running game has been non-existent. 3 games in and I'm still waiting to see signs of the benefit of "year 2 in the system" which I was convinced would lead to further improvements. Kyle Long gets fired up. MetLife Stadium is as stale as new Yankee Stadium. But I had a good filet mignon sandwich and drank bourbon most of the night so that was sweet. Lots of Bears fans on the road as usual. Jets fans don't get their vitriol flowing quite like they do for a divisional opponent. Although the night did start with what I assume was an attempted intimidating staredown from some laxbro type that led to nothing more than me cracking open the big can of beer on the train.
  9. guhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh That is called the Breakfast Club defense. http://wearelibertarians.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/the_breakfast_club_1985_bender_and_andrew_fight.jpg Just you and me. Two hits. Me hitting you. You hitting the floor. Anytime you're ready, pal.
  10. surrounding states don't really help for attendance on 81 game seasons. I'm speaking in terms of fan support, not ticket sales. Even then, the gulf coast is easily navigable. Mobile is only 2 hours away from New Orleans. Gulfport/Biloxi, MS only an hour. And they got Baton Rouge not too far away. New Orleans is a day trip for people on the gulf coast. When people plan to go to Braves games they need to plan out well in advance and secure lodging and you spend, at minimum, a half day travelling. There would be lots of people taking the drive over to go see a baseball game and driving back after in New Orleans. They do it already for Saints games, and sure it wouldn't be every home game for a baseaball team because there's so many games, but it also wouldn't be one game a year like many have to treat a Braves game, which is the closest ML team that people support. Atlanta is the 9th largest metro area in the US, New Orleans is 45th. It would be a horrible spot for major league baseball.

  15. MUUUURDERRRRR Holy moley, he actually said that. What he meant was that when there is a body, they cover it with a sheet while the CSI people take over. When they don't die, there is no need to cover the body.
  16. Is Grizzo Asian?
  17. why are all the people behind home plate standing but just chilling out?
  18. Even if you aren't a big fan of him, he's #2(!!) on our depth chart right now. But projection wise he's really just Dubrount/Strailey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk When you have a collection of non-amazing guys, the guy who has actually had the results get to stand at the front of the line.
  19. Brandon Marshall picked a great time to have his meltdown press conference.
