  1. Todd Bowles is interviewing with them Wednesday.
  2. He got two 3s when he was traded in his mid-to-late 20s, now he's in his early 30s, with a bigger contract. Maybe a 3rd.
  3. Brandon Marshall's extension hasn't even kicked in yet has it? Ugh. If they are just going to dump him, we'd better hear about some really damning locker room antics from him that hurt the team. Otherwise, there's no reason to get rid of him. He did have that lockerroom meltdown early in the year, when people still thought the Bears could contend for the playoffs. It was reported that players did not take kindly to his stupidity.
  4. Zach Zaidman ‏@ZachZaidman · 1m1 minute ago RT @AlbertBreer: Per source, Kansas City's Chris Ballard has turned down the Jets' interview request.
  5. Interesting. The funny thing is Pat Mannelly's closest relationship to Del Rio is probably Mel Tucker.
  6. DeMarco Murray also mysteriously avoided a helmet removal penalty after scoring a touchdown. That one didn't bother me too much, it was accidental. However if you're going to enforce it there could be some justification Right, it was accidental, and a stupid penalty regardless. But the pop the chinsstrap helmet jumps off move is usually a penalty, and that should have had refs on notice.

  8. Angelo didn't work out, Emery was a disaster...I know lets hire a guy that has spend almost his entire career working for those two. No. The Bears were good when Ballard was here. It's just an odd narrative to sell to the fan base. If you believe he's the best guy, fine hire him. I'm unaware of any narrative. Did the Bears release a statement about Ballard? I don't get what umfan is on about. Presumably, if they believe he's the best guy, they will hire him. All these guys are replacement level. Hire the one with the best relationship with a good coach.
  9. I count 12 hits including Knox, Dusty and Benson. All three of those either ended badly due to injury or moved on and had decent careers although its a disappointing decent career to be picked high in the first round like Benson. I guess the guy can do it but not at Thompson's level. Give him Aaron Rodgers and he's just as successful.
  10. As for Christie, he doesn't have to win over decent normal humans. He has to win over conservatives. Cheering on oil barons and Texas is a good start.
  11. Who is that douche with the tough guy celebratory shoves?
  12. Other than the fact that boatloads of people also cheer on Dallas and their ilk with no good reason. Not enough decent humans care enough about that sort of scum and villainy
  13. Good job backing out of easy fg range romo. Lucky they still got it.
  14. If anybody appreciates a devout jock sniffer more than pro athletes, it's god. RIP stu
  15. Coaching isn't just a 2015 offseason thing. This list has nothing to do with it. Coaching is what matters in the nfl. There are no theos.
  16. There are no gm studs. It's the coaching that matters.
  17. I get what your saying and agree that I want something else. I just don't see anything interesting in the gm candidates and think it's more of a perception vs reality issue.
  18. It's what I'm expecting and I will be pretty disappointed. Nothing says "organizational change from mediocrity" like hiring guys who were a part of the organization during their mediocrity. Those guys were part of the organization when they were good. Good? How many rings do they have to show for it? Hell how many playoff appearances? They were not good enough then and likely would not be good enough now. Hahahaha. Are you drunk? Lots of angry drunks in pittstown tonight. They don't have titles. Lots of good teams don't have titles. Mediocrity is something below what those Bears teams were. Those teams were good, not great. You know this. Although they were great one year.

  20. He ran a pretty good team and got the most out of a middling quarterback then all was lost when that qb turned back into a pumpkin. They jumped from 2 wins to 9 wins this season while using Case Keenum for awhile. Kubiak is a terrible coach. They win 12 two years ago.

  22. yep, they promoted Roseman out of power and are giving Kelly the power to hire "his boss". The successful head coach always wins a power struggle. No point in being dedicated to the CEO/Pres/GM/Coach hierarchy.
  23. I think the point is that "traditional" methods would not work in his favor.
  24. Knowing that I know nothing about hockey strategy..., is Teuvo too similar to Kane to pare them together?
