  1. Matt Bowen ‏@MattBowen41 59s59 seconds ago Rex Ryan, Todd Bowles & Stanford HC David Shaw...Chris Ballard at GM. MT @vnzdn1: @MattBowen41 Short list for GM & HC?
  2. QB is absolutely a position of need. The position led the NFL in turnovers. But the combination of Cutler's contract and the numerous other needs across the team push it further down the list of priorities. Longterm it is absolutely a position of need. Cutler is either a placeholder for a couple years or he's gone. There's about a 2% chance he will be here for another 4 years.
  3. The big question left is the position coaches. I can't see any of the coordinators surviving the initial bloodbath. Position coaches under contract probably stay under contract until next guy decides who he wants to keep and get rid of.
  4. Please no I think that chance is gone now with Emery gone as well. That would've been a "for Cutler" hire...no reason for a new GM to do that. I am not convinced this team goes back to the President/GM/HC formula. They could hire Shanahan as the boss who brings in his own personnel department and coaching staff.
  5. imo as well. I still think Cutler is a great candidate for placeholder QB the next 2-3 years as you build your own system from the ground up. If you fail with him, that's not on you and you can get rid of him with no cap ramifications and relatively affordable cost just as your choice in QB is ready. But I'd bet at least 50% of next head coach/GM candidates would prefer to cut ties immediately.
  6. My friend is saying PFT is saying Trestman may be safe though. Linked me an article that I can't read. lots of people assuming this is the story. It can't be true. But if it is, laughably stupid.
  7. I'm guessing it means that George is the one deciding on who is fired/staying so anyone from Phillips on down could be gone. Would that be that news worthy? In so much as talking about the process can be newsworthy, yes this would be. A) George hasn't done anything yet as chairman, other than the awkward first day on the job thing for trestman. B) it implies that the changes may go much higher than coach. This is still a system where the lowest ranking official makes all decisions that fall under his jurisdiction. If he needs to be the one pulling triggers, it implies, at the very least that the organization has changed.
  8. Ugh you

  12. I hope George passed jay in the hall and told him to play horribly on purpose
  13. That may very well happen. But he does not currently suck.

  18. Crapton of psu folk in Manhattan today. As perfect a December day as possible. Forgot there was football to watch.
  19. I realize you are being sarcastic, but I dunno. Sounds like he makes bad choices as to who to hang out with. He may need a life coach. I was being serious. The Dominican republican is no good for anybody.
  20. Can somebody talk starlin into moving? Maybe Cuba?
