    It is a specific type of sports outrage porn though. they used to take shots at everybody in the sports world but have since shifted to a very narrow focus on criticizing the suits in the game and only going after athletes who commit violent crime. It has become more jock sniffy in recent years.

    same. i still have an autographed ball made out "TO JOHNNY" and you can bet i will be keeping it forever, as much as i may dislike the guy now. While I was getting Grace's autograph at a restaurant during spring training 20-something years ago, he was hitting on my 16 year old sister. was that the spring he was struggling at the plate?

    Crawford is overpaid because they should not be paying their goalie that money. Comparisons to other goalie contracts is not the issue, it is the amount allocated to the position and the length of that guarantee that matters.

    Drafttex was the idea that stud college hitters were so much more likely to at bare minimum be good major leaguers for many years that their value dwarfed #onceinageneration pitchers like prior that happen to come along every 5 years and always disappoint. Drafting Bryant was a no brainer under this theory and his emergence is so much bigger and more important than priors, as well as tex.

    prior is definitely ahead of bryant on a cubs list Nope Nopenopenopenope Nope Drafttex was over prior and Bryant is over tex wasn't prior considered a top 3 pitching prospect ever, with some people having him as the best ever? and it kind of feels like bryant's k concerns get overlooked a little bit too much, especially when comparing him with past elite prospects. Only by people who don't understand huge value of college hitting studs over pitchers.
