  1. prior is definitely ahead of bryant on a cubs list Nope Nopenopenopenope Nope Drafttex was over prior and Bryant is over tex
  2. They can't get him up to Chicago tonight to play tomorrow? well, he was just playing baseball in new orleans as of 8pm central, so i assume the absolute earliest flight he could've caught was 10pm, and i doubt that there are flights from new orleans to chicago at that hour. my not-so-exhaustive research suggests that the earliest he could arrive in chicago (flying commercial obviously) is 12:40pm, leaving new orleans at 10:08am. 3. kujay is like mr. minor league forum - 3 hours.
  4. Oh desipio, you silly little devils Desipio.com ‏@desipiodotcom 1m1 minute ago He's overmatched. Send him back to Boise. @MDGonzales Bryant grounds to short in first AB

  6. Javy was up within a matter of a few weeks after moving to 2B last year, IIRC... He played 2B 7/14 and was with the Cubs 8/5. He got 16 games at 2B.
  7. Since he has 2 errors already that's not really true. Since he will be called up very soon regardless that is true.
  8. Why is that? It's not like they are trying to get 2 gates and they are both scheduled 7 inning games, right? What would you consider "more normal" 3 or 4?
  9. My interpretation is he had hard feelings but did not want to talk about them to the media.
  10. Keep it classy, kids.
  11. yeah sure, some of them, but not necessarily a meaningfully large enough quantity to help you.
  12. conditioner is better
  13. I disagree. Q said the decision would be easy. I think that means it's Crawford. You can take that both ways. Easy meaning you go with your veteran starter or easy meaning you go with the guy that stood on his head and pitched a nearly 4 period shutout in his first playoff appearance. I don't see how going with your inexperienced backup who had one incredible non-starting performance over the starter you pay major money to and has won a Stanley Cup for your team in the past is "easy". Yeah, going with Darling is effectively creating a goalie controversy and opening yourself up to needing to trade Crawford this offseason. It's not the least bit easy. Chalking up this game to one bad period by Crawford and no big deal is the easy decision.
  14. You mean listening to him last night, or has he spoken yet today? My expectation is the "easy decision" is going back to Crawford and keeping Darling in reserve.
  15. Yes. There have been articles about it in the New York Times. Well then we know it's not a real trend.
  16. so what is Oakland now, Brooklyn West?
  17. So I guess the logical conclusion is that they think it's higher than 0.001%. It's not nearly as clear-cut as some fans want to believe. That is only the logical conclusion if the Cubs actually do wait beyond the point where they no longer technically "have to" wait. Maybe. I think the fact that they are covering their tracks with their public statements says it pretty well, but I guess if you thought that was purely for PR or something. Covering their tracks via public statements is literally the least they can do. It's meaningless.
