    So I guess the logical conclusion is that they think it's higher than 0.001%. It's not nearly as clear-cut as some fans want to believe. That is only the logical conclusion if the Cubs actually do wait beyond the point where they no longer technically "have to" wait. Maybe. I think the fact that they are covering their tracks with their public statements says it pretty well, but I guess if you thought that was purely for PR or something. Covering their tracks via public statements is literally the least they can do. It's meaningless.

    I like, but not sure why that person felt the need to start off with "you think they have been anything other than great" when the rest of the post seems to be showing they've just been pretty good but unlucky. That line suggests it is crazy to think this offense has not been great.

    It was a fun game and not our fault you spent $60 on bison dogs. yeah other than that stupid inning where arrieta gave up a bunch of crappy hits for 3 runs To be fair I was in line for beer and then explaining how troughs work while in an explicable line in the men's room for most of that inning. Were you mansplaining that to a woman? Because if you are a person that would need to use a trough and you are not aware of how a trough would work, you have problems.

    Having him pitch 2-3 innings in a relief role on a starters schedule seems incredibly odd to me, unless the goal is to have him be a piggy back type guy. Presumably they'd get him to the point where he can pitch every 2-3 days instead of 1 of 5, if they view him as a reliever.

Nope... but I have to assume in order to umpire an internationally sanctioned ESPN televised little league matchup you have to have a good reputation at your job. I would just assume they need to work cheap and live close by.
