  1. you should have started a new thread for each block quote up there
  2. I think people who try to predict rain outs based on the fact that forecasts call for some rain on a day don't know what they are talking about. It could rain each and every one of those days and never come close to threatening a rain out.
  3. obviously, sac bunts are for the 9 hole.
  4. 9Trenton ClarkSCHOOL: Richland HS (North Richland Hills, Texas)HT: 6-0WT: 200POS: OF Analysis: I've also heard the Cubs with Garrett Whitley, Andrew Benintendi, Jon Harris and Carson Fulmer, and possibly Cameron too. They may replicate their so-far successful strategy from last year, taking a bat they love with their first pick and going over slot for arms in later rounds, such as 6-foot-7 prep lefty Bryan Hudson from Alton, Ill., who has one of the better curveballs in the draft. He has Jay going to Cincy 11Tyler JaySCHOOL: IllinoisHT: 6-1WT: 175POS: LHP Analysis: Jay might have gone in the top 5, even 1-1, had he started all spring, but national scouts and directors haven't had enough looks at him because he's worked in the bullpen and has even had one weekend series in which he didn't appear. The Reds appear to be highest on Jay and Carson Fulmer, both of whom could pitch in a major-league bullpen this fall, although Jay has a slight advantage there as he will throw about half as many innings as Fulmer will before signing.
  5. Eh, maybe, but he's not really close to Aramis in that regard. Yeah, Aramis was legitimately awesome and people completely ignored that. Castro is above average most of the time but people view him as a detriment to the team's success. The delta between what they are and what fans think they are is about the same. Maybe, but a lot of people actually thought Aramis was a detriment to the team's success.
  6. also, while those are his career numbers, in 2015 its 1124 the third time thru and 1065 from pitch 76-100
  7. Hendricks (career) 1st time thru: .720 OPS against 2nd time thru: .521 3rd time thru: .780 periphs are perfectly fine, too; it's mostly just BABIP difference...i generally think early Hendricks hooks are management over-thinking it Isn't a 780 OPS against relatively high in a league with a collective 700 OPS?
  8. it is not convenient but football stadiums are never convenient. You can get away with that for 8 game seasons. I've been to a few games there since the rebuild, and I really don't have much to complain about. so many other stadiums are so much worse. The new meadowlands is 20x the boondoggle. sofa can't enjoy anything with other human beings around.
  9. seems like a prime candidate for piggybacking with Hendricks. Kyle tends to struggle a little early, get better for 2-4 inning and struggle again in the 5-6. So let Kyle start with Wada ready by the 5th and baby you got a stew going.
  10. He was about to face the lineup for the third time with two men on base. Len tweeted out something in pregame about how Wada's OPS against goes from about 550 to 690 to 1250 from the first/second/third time around the lineup. actually: [tweet]https://twitter.com/LenKasper/status/601205346695290880[/tweet]
  11. Correct, you can't kick or throw a puck in. It can go in accidentally off of your body, but if it's an intentional motion to direct the puck with your body, it's no goal. I don't know a ton about hockey but this is known.
