    I've never heard one person say that was the best pitched game ever. Really? It's the highest 9 inning game score. Guys, the more educated fans know the well pitched game pitches to contact to keep his teammates involved and engaged.

    Probably difficult for them to commit to play a game on Thursday with only one day notice. They could just tell both teams on Sunday night 'hey if Tampa wins on Tuesday you guys are playing Thursday' I wish they scheduled like the NBA, where sometimes the last Game 7 of a previous round and the first game 1 of the next round are played on the same day. One game is on the east coast and another west coast so you could easily have Tampa-Montreal start at 6 CT and Hawks-Ducks at 8:30 or 9. they could do that, but things like travel/hotels/venue booking etc requires some firm commitments. I think they would really need to just tell them Thursday regardless of other games.

    I do not see what is wrong with "turning it into a Starlin Castro thing" when that is one of the more likely potential options. If the Cubs are going to trade young bats for young Mets pitching (something to which their GM alluded), then Castro is a very realistic topic of dicussion.

    I think something like that. But it isn't really interesting to me that they have not made any trades with the Mets in the past 3.5 years. There has to be a list of multiple teams that they have not traded with in that time.

    This does seem odd for him to say. I guess you could assume he was saying that at some point in time between now and the end of time the Cubs and Mets would make a trade.
