    It’s wildly unimaginative to think it’s silly to consider trading a good player in an effort to make the team better. Prolonged mediocrity is not the consistency we should be striving for. not to mention, having surgery isn’t an automatic road to improvement. Hoerner battled a bunch of injuries as a young player and he’s no longer young. This is another notch in the negative category for him from a health perspective. He’s probably going to miss more time next season and start to decline soon. celebrating his surgery because you won’t have to hear people discuss the possibility of trading him in an effort to make the team better is myopic.

    I’ve never said a word about the Steelers receivers before this game. I hadn’t watched any of their games. I watched that game and Wilson was wildly inaccurate and guys made at least three wild catches for big gains on poorly thrown balls.

    Blackhawks won home opener 4-2 against sharks, and did so while failing to convert on a 5on3 or hit an empty net for final two minutes despite multiple turnovers by sharks. The top line is looking good. Reichel got minimal minutes centering the 4th line. Alec Martinez hit the IR as the first of the new old guys to go down, not counting the goalie. He probably wont be the last. Chicago currently sitting at 6th in the central in terms of points percentage, at .500. 10 western conference teams are above them.

    For some reason that is beyond me people keep locking threads to make it impossible to comment on updates to older stories, but the fallout the Rutgers AD surprise resignation has been kind of interesting. Sounds like the happily married man was sleeping with the gymnastics coach and ignoring complaints of a toxic culture in the program. And the football staff probably isn’t sad to see him go.

    Was getting nervous after putting 100 on bears -1.5 when it went the other way but I did not see anything other outcome for this game than what happened
