i hope that whenever we win it, he actually feels comfortable showing his face and having some sort of cool moment because the whole thing is awful. Bring him back after they win it. I don't trust Cubs/sports fans enough to not be awful to him if they bring him back for a playoff game or something and then they end up losing. "They" shouldn't bring him anywhere. He probably doesn't want to be brought anywhere.

I'm imagining him sitting in the same seats with the same pop up hit towards him and him trying to scurry away in a heated panic from a possible repeat performance but he slips, falls out of the stands and lands on Bryant as he's about catch the ball. i'm not

There's absolutely nothing douchebag about sharing the wealth. The douchebag thing is flaunting wedding party cold beverages that other guests do not have access to. This was meant for us during outdoor photos (while the rest of the guests drove ahead to the reception). The point is, some of the bridal party didn't get any cold drinks because the dates of the other groomsmen took them instead I'd say whoever was in charge of that was a cheapskate and should have had more than enough for the dates and the party.

Pretty sure the flooding right now is coming from all the rain that isn't necessarily hurricane related, but the low pressure system that is moving out in time to allow the hurricane to move out to sea. yes he signed a 5 year deal which has 2 years left and next year his cap hit would be about 8.5m and they could save half of that if they cut him. -

Same could be said for baseball too. It's not about the talent up there, it's that you don't have to worry about another team stealing the guy you want. no, it's about talent that's my point, though; i'm no NFL scout, but i don't see much if any difference between Ronnie Stanley (top-5) & Jack Conklin (20-25) / Nkemdiche (top-3) & DeForest Buckner (top-15) / Treadwell & Ramsey... I understand that. I haven't heard much about the difference either. Just pointing out that picking early is about getting the best talent, not targeting one guy and hoping nobody else takes him first. -
why would the current baseball players care one iota about that? They won't care much, but they don't really control who plays and who doesn't either. The Reds haven't had anyone of value start for them for 3 months now, and they'll likely give their better veterans some "rest days" and get their version of Lake/Szczur into the games to "see what they've got". After all the complaining you did about the Cubs losing on purpose, you don't see the Reds doing the same? An organization can decide to lose more than they win, but the players aren't going to throw an individual game. Or has Pete Rose has already been reinstated?

Fall is my favorite season, so I get it, but I wouldn't have gotten married in the fall in a billion years. It's my favorite season, too, but I deliberately planned mine away from all sporting events so that people would actually be paying attention! You that starved for attention? Fall weddings are awesome. Hot summer weddings are for idiots. No, I don't want to pay several hundred dollars a plate for people to be chilling at the hotel bar all night! Agreed that hot summer weddings are for idiots. Several hundred per plate? Damn, inflation is a much bigger concern than the Fed has been letting on.

I'm not a fan of seeing opponents pimp against the Cubs either, and I think it's fine to get annoyed by that. But you can't go overboard in your response and you have to get over it immediately. There's nothing wrong with them doing it.
