  1. I'm glad to see that Heyman got a LOT of blowback on TLR being a class act. Did he actually block NSBB? No
  2. no we just called a guy up you've never heard of who is actually very good #thatscub
  3. it's fine you need to research the neighborhood a bit more on your own, and a lot of these will be the type of place somebody who travels for business keeps relatively unfurnished.
  4. I know, I just don't think its like some cool factoid or anything. It's just a way to call it an official game so the stats count but the records don't change. Irrelevant, obscure factoids are the coolest kinds of factoids. It's the reason Jayson Stark exists, for example. That is so much more a reason for Tim Kurkjian's existence.
  5. it is now -2.5, but west coast teams always get dinged when playing an early game on the east coast
  6. Josh Gordon is entering rehab.
  7. you want a contrast to the boring? hear me out: [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. what about playoff chinese food? you make your requests, I make mine
  9. i'm really in the mood for playoff nachos, if anybody can make that happen.
  10. that phrasing suggests you think this is going to get worse i'll give you something to boil pasta? eggs? steamed hams?
  11. crazy thing is he's a professional blogger

  14. I refuse, at least until he puts his face out to pasture. at least we know what ted cruz did with that campaign war chest of his

  17. the local broadcasting revenue is what will make or break the Cubs from a financial standpoint. they want to show their current partners and potential future partners how high their ratings can be.
  18. Oh it's my choice. The firm is [expletive] paying for it, not me. They'd pay for the conference hotel.I like sitting in the bar watching whatever sports are on tv at the end of the day. You can't do that as easily in a fancy hotel full of horsefeathers lawyers. But it's SF, none of the hotels are exactly cheap. The only reason I mentioned it is a cubs t-shirt doesn't really stand out if I'm walking through the holiday inn lobby. But I'm glad we've thoroughly dissected another throw away line here. At your meetings, when one of the attendees asks, "did you attend harvard or yale?" please answer, "No, but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night."
  19. going to a conference with lawyers at an expensive hotel but then having to leave that hotel to stay at a more budget friendly establishment is about the exact opposite of a humblebrag. badger, apologize to this man.
  20. T E L E V I S I O N
  21. I think it was specifically about the "expensive hotel" portion of the comment, rather than the hanging with lawyers thing.
