  1. thankfully it is not health that is preventing this team from winning lots of games.
  2. I should be able to get so drunk during the day that watching this entire game will be virtually impossible.
  3. [tweet] [/tweet][tweet] [/tweet]
  4. Bears are 7.5 point underdogs. Trevathan needs thumb surgery. Eddie Goldman has an ankle sprain. Cutler supposedly doesn't need surgery but that diagnosis could change. According to Fox, last night was unacceptable. This team sucks.
  5. to the original question, yes, there is an ESPN The Magazine curse and that curse is ESPN The Magazine horsefeathering sucks horsefeathers.
  6. maybe the "coghlan must have explicit photos hidden somewhere" jokes are true
  7. Watson isn't good enough to tank for. Well maybe not intentionally, but we are where we are. Who's looking like top 5 picks is the real question? http://walterfootball.com/draft2017charlie.php one source has: Kizer - QB Garrett - DE Watson - QB Fournette - RB Barnett - DE Kiper's big board has: 1. *Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M 2. *Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU 3. *Malik McDowell, DT, Michigan State 4. Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama 5. Tim Williams, OLB, Alabama PFF goes: Cleveland Browns: Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson San Diego Chargers: Myles Garrett, OLB, Texas A&M Jacksonville Jaguars: Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee San Francisco 49ers: Desmond King, CB, Iowa Tennessee Titans: Jalen Tabor, CB, Florida
  8. Greater than 0, but I'm guessing the thumb injury is maybe 25% a 2-3 week issue, 60% a 6-8 week issue and 15% a season ender. Even if it's a longer term issue you can almost guarantee that the next guy will get hurt and Cutler will be forced into action late in the season.
  9. 5 games with a touchdown or greater spread. Good times, NFL, good times. 10. https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/patriots/2016/09/18/what-free-agent-quarterbacks-are-available-right-now/Om3vtfqTMp7JoGFvPvth6H/story.html fun names on this list. you want mike vick or hasselback?
  11. that would be a real ballsy move for a relative neophyte like Pace with a terrible track record to try and pull off. Give a veteran head coach a garbage team and back-to-back wasted first round picks and then kick him to the curb when things go predictably bad, only to give the job to the coach whose team has been falling apart for nearly as long as the Bears have and largely because of a poor "pro personnel decisions", which was your department at that team.
  12. he's calling romo a woman
  13. so Cutler misses 2-3 weeks and comes back for jacksonville, or he misses a full 6 and comes back after bye week? There is a legit chance the Bears won't be favored in any remaining games. I mean, jacksonville remains garbage but if that game is sans Cutler, does it go past pick-em? My guess is the McCaskeys give Pace and Fox one more offseason, one more high draft pick and if there aren't signs of a major step forward in 2017, another regime will bite the dust. It's been 14 years since this team won fewer than 5 games, and they've lost 13 only once. They could easily flirt with those levels of ineptitude this year. Would a 3-13 season be enough to start all over again this winter? If so, what direction do you go? Presumably the next GM would have a amateur scouting background, unlike Pace's less than ideal for building through the draft pro personnel background. Do they look to the Cubs and try and build a front office super group? Find a solid young GM to make president of football ops and let him stuff the department? At this point I think you work behind the scenes to find an up and comer to take over after 2017. Let Pace and Fox continue to make this team younger and then cut 'em loose if/when you get the chance to completely overhaul the front office. The ship has sailed on winning with Cutler. There's no hope for now and very little hope for intermediate.
  14. I thought Ohio had patriots, not commies.
  15. I thought the us beat Canada like 2 weeks ago but that must have been prelims and I really could not care less about this event.
  16. Thats it? It will be off the board with cutler injury
  17. Bears opened as 4 point dogs in Dallas and that probably goes to 6.5 or more
  18. Deliberate interception avoidance
  19. Question is will they get to ten losses?
  20. Things have really turned
  21. You are obsessed about jay needing to pick up on guys who whiff on a block No, i love Jay. But that was a cornerback, he's not assigned to anyone. There were three defensive players out there and two blockers. You are dead wrong. The blocking tight end chose not to block. That's in paulsen, and nothing cutler could do.
