    You don’t have to be in Illinois. I am in Indiana have no issues. Perhaps you mean you have to be in the Cubs territory? The guy specifically said Illinois, but I took it to mean the Cubs territory. I didn't need to stay on the line for further explanation since that was the answer I was expecting anyway, and I needed to light my grill. Also my daughter was getting annoyed that they kept resetting while she was watching Flyers/Rangers.

    Also Quintana. Once they get out of their top 5 rotation spots, they'll be throwing out some real stinkers who are going to get lit up. But I don't see 95 wins on the upside.

    So I finally called directv to see what was what and they kept saying I should be seeing the station based on my package (giggity), but I wasn't. It's right next to NBCSC, which I get along with all the other sports channels. I reset the receiver myself and they reset it on their end, then after 15 minutes the guy got a note that you have to be in Illinois to watch it but they are doing everything they can to make it available nationwide. I figured this was going to be the case but my account kept saying I had access to the channel.

    Of course he's talented. That's not my point. The combine is a place where everyone goes crazy about hand size and vertical jumps and 40 times, as if those are the only things that matter (as opposed to, say, actual game play) Freakish measurable are something to get excited about when the freak is also freakishly skilled at the position. penn state guys prefer to see the measurables in younger prospects.

    That contradicts everything Lehner has said over basically the whole season. He's been saying that he wants term and he wants to get "what's fair". If he really was going to take a 3 year deal they'd be announcing his extension today. There's certainly a case to be made for firing Bowman but these "sources" sounds like somebody making horsefeathers up. While this is true, and with the acknowledgement that this statement probably isn't fair, Lehner does seem to be the type of person who might have that kind of change of heart over in a short period of time.

    No, they haven’t. They’ve attempted to sneak into the playoffs the past few years instead of taking their lumps, and traded away more talent than they’ve received.

    Knowing Stan, he'll probably resign Crawford and trade for an injured defenseman and just put us all through the 4th wasted season in a row. Setting aside the 'injured defensemen' part, I don't know if there's a better option for goalie going into next year. We basically got Lehner, after an incredible season, at the end of free agency for not all that much money. Don't know how much better we can do than Crawford, who is having another really good year. I don't know if there is a better option, but I do know that just coming back with the same crowd and getting nothing in trades is wasting years of hockey.

    Lehner gets a 2nd rounder. What a waste of the past couple years. Bowman is pretty terrible.

    Every kid on our mite team rotates through goalie, and our best skaters are the absolute worst at goalie. By the time they are 10 they will either play goalie or not.
