  1. This is a dumb interpretation of what was said. He was a top 10 pick and they release him because they felt the need to go into free agency to get an older guy to fill his spot. The pick is an absolute failure. If your first round pick isn't playing for you 5 years later, it's a huge failure that only an injury can excuse. This isn't the least bit controversial. It was a bad pick.
  2. The guy whose job it was to tell the owner they should be on television has been released from his contract.
  3. I was driving down the shore listening on the radio, my wife was asleep and I woke her up yelling and screaming
  4. Agreed. Floyd himself may be a B- player, but the pick success was a failure. Neither of you make any sense. He's a B- player, but the pick is a failure? WTF does that even mean? I understand that he was a top 10 pick and should have an A player. But him being a failed pick because he's a B- instead of an A is some Ricky Bobby "if ya ain't first ya last" type of BS. I don’t really think you understand he was a top ten pick. If your top ten pick doesn’t make it to his next contest with you, it was a bad pick.
  5. He started for 4 years for them. I don't think you can give Leonard Floyd the same grade as Kevin White, who started 0 games and is out of the league before his 5th year. Floyd was cut because he was scheduled to make 13Mil. He was signed like a day and half later for 10Mil. Same logic makes Adrian Amos a bad pick because they made to effort to re-sign him after 4 years. i had no idea the bears spent a 1st round pick on Adrian Amos
  6. I’m judging the draft pick you maroons. The player can be whatever he is, the draft pick is a failure. Floyd being a serviceable player for another team doesn’t bring any value to the bears. It was a terrible draft pick that worked out poorly for the team. They felt obligated to overpay another free agent (never good) to make up for their poor choice.
  7. what the hell is a C then? A- HOF B- Multiple All Pros C- Multiple Pro Bowls D- Multiple years of being top 10 at a position F- Average starter or worse is what I'm guessing his grade scale. If a 1st rounder is cut less than 5 years in, its an F. Or DNQ if you’re feeling generous.
  8. He’s a first round pick they cut after 4 years. It’s an F.
  9. Never heard of him, but here's a hype headline (no I haven't even read the article yet) https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/darnell-mooney-tulane-most-underrated-wr-2020-nfl-draft
  10. Well I like the concept behind the Mooney trade at least. No idea about the player though.
  11. No I’m not going to “come on”. If you trade up for a qb next year you need all the surplus you can get. Giving away a 4 for a 5 is bad business. A 4 next year for a 5 now. And next years draft (and college season) has a horsefeathers ton of uncertainty right now, which really plays into it. That “next years picks don’t matter” mindset is why the bears always have more needs than picks.
  12. Next year is the year they have to draft a qb, which likely means trading up. They just gave away a 4th for a 5th because Ryan Pace does not understand value. Come on that 4th isn't getting in the way of drafting a QB. And who knows if they'll be in that spot to get a QB. We don't even know what next year's college season and draft process will look like, so I don't mind the 1 round penalty to get a guy you like. Maybe the Bears go 3-13 and it looks terrible, but hopefully it's a mid or late 4th. No I’m not going to “come on”. If you trade up for a qb next year you need all the surplus you can get. Giving away a 4 for a 5 is bad business.
  13. This team is desperate for offensive line help and Pace continues to ignore it. Why do I spend every season making excuses for this guy?
  14. Next year is the year they have to draft a qb, which likely means trading up. They just gave away a 4th for a 5th because Ryan Pace does not understand value. If next year is the year they need to deaft qb, they likely wont have to trade up the most likely 2020 outcome is continued mediocrity but nowhere near a top 5 pick.
  15. Meh it's one for one and who knows what the evaluation process looks like next year cuz of covid. Next year is the year they have to draft a qb, which likely means trading up. They just gave away a 4th for a 5th because Ryan Pace does not understand value.
  16. I’ll take it. We have a bunch of picks next year I believe Edit: though I guess the value chart shows that the bears lost the trade they have extra 6s and 7s, not 4s. It’s a world of difference. 4s play, 6/7s get cut.
  17. STOP TRADING AWAY PICKS YOU DUMB MOTHER
  18. I do not believe that is close to being consensus.
  19. Are they allowed to do that in the NFL? I know it happens in college but can’t remember seeing that in the pros In summer, sure, why not.
  20. Todd McShay is OUT with the rona
  21. The draft is tonight, and it will be televised. That's cool.
  22. thinking about posting "loads not tweeting", but not sure about it
  23. Somebody said they should have gotten more, and I said it was a good get. I'm not seeing the chest thumping, but I'm sure gronk is ready for some tubthumping
