  1. when? If 2018 is recent past he started 5 games and had a vastly better YPA (7.2 vs. 5.8 this year), completion percentage (72 vs 62) and QBR/Rating. Small Sample size, but he was also coming off the Super Bowl run the year prior where he performed like an elite QB. He was not actually an elite QB mind you, but the numbers he put up were elite. 2 years is a long time and the 2018 numbers wouldnt really constitute a very good QB but if he was performing at that level in Chicago this year it would make a big difference moving forward. Don't think he will for various reasons but he's probably capable of playing better than he has thus far. Didn't he more recently suck in Jacksonville? He went to the most talented team in the league at the time and helped them win a Super Bowl, but it was hardly his doing. He famously pretty much stunk until getting hot in a couple playoff games. I would say his level of performance with the Bears is pretty much on par with expectations.
  2. I would like to hope there is room for improvement with the offense. Maybe he is in decline or maybe its the talent around him but Foles has performed much better than this in the past, even in the recent past. when?
  3. I think calling it a rebuild is a great way to incentivize some guys to talk about buy outs, retirement or removing no movement tags. A full "trade Kane" rebuild is kind of pointless in a sport like hockey when so many teams make that playoffs and the finals are not preordained in a NBA style. There's nothing wrong with going halfway with the rebuild and trying to load up on young guys for the final years of Toews, Kane and Keith with hopes of maybe surprising people in a year or two.
  4. The rebuild is on
  5. Makes sense, at times, as many have mentioned, the offense appears capable, then goes back to not capable, how much of a factor is Nagy' play calling and how much the QB? I'd say maybe 80 - 20, at times he takes his foot off the gas, why? Go for the kill, if you can score 40 on a team do it because, they, sure as horsefeathers, will dump 40 on your ass. I don't think there is an issue of the Bears being capable but unwilling to score 40 on a team.
  6. The first half of this tweet seems to be contradicted by the second half.
  7. Bears go on the road as big underdogs again (+6 at time of publishing). Rams have 4 wins, all against NFC East teams with losses against Buffalo and a grossly overrated 49ers team coming off back to back huge upset losses. The Rams are highly rated and well respected but haven't done anything in 2 years. These two teams have combined to score 45 points the past two seasons and the over/under is 46 right now. I can't imagine them getting there... ..., okay just got back from placing a bet. Anyway, I hate primetime matchups but in covid times I actually don't mind staying up late on a school night and having other options on a Sunday afternoon. This would be a huge win for the Bears if they have hopes of hosting a playoff game. Maybe this is more Lucy pulling the football away but hey it's still possible the offense will get decent the more time Foles has to work with it.
  8. I listened to a podcast a few weeks back and forget the exact details.... but what I recall is basically what they are doing is the first test given that would trigger a positive isn’t the most accurate but faster and done daily, when a positive is triggered off of that test they do a test that takes longer (2-3 days iirc) but is more accurate to confirm or not. All the players wear some sort of tracking devices too and if they’ve been around a positive test person they have to take the more accurate test too before being cleared and isolate/quarantine until results come back. But they aren’t taking 2-3 days to announce the false positive was false.

  14. Dozens of people will be disappointed
  15. The Bears come back 10 days later with a nooner on Fox, and they are half way to their bye week with as good of a record as anybody could have hoped. 3 point underdogs on the road and going up against a QB that could have been their QB, which I feel like something that can be said for about 75% of the games this year. This season still feels like the next loss will trigger a spiral to the bottom the rest of the year, but I also wouldn't be surprised by a victory in any week. I feel stupid thinking that Foles just needs some more time in the system to really click with the receivers, but that would be nice if true. Could also use some more from Quinn and a continuation of Mack's big game. Also I'm putting all my money on Robinson catching the next 50/50 ball since that is how gambling and the law of averages work.
  16. how do nfl rules demand a black out of talk shows out of market?
