  1. She’s the sniper
  2. Minnesota Wild superstar Kirill Kaprizov turned down an eight-year, $128 million contract on Tuesday in a meeting with the team, according to a report on X by NHL insider Frank Seravalli. That contract, which The Athletic had previously reported was the offer Minnesota would make, would have been the largest in NHL history both in terms of AAV ($16 million) and total dollars (surpassing Alex Ovechkin’s 13-year, $124 million deal signed in 2008).
  3. Seriously? Have you just started following the NFL?
  4. honestly took a 50/50 guess of whether he was already on the IL or active.
  5. Bryant is volunteering to go back on the IL in order to make it in
  6. Caleb is awful with quick stuff. He has a few quick strike plays late and missed by significant margins and/or threw the ball into a defender.
  7. You have. The Bears have for years been a team that can occasionally look competent offensively up until the point something bad happens. Good teams recover. The Bears do not. A drive into scoring position then back to back negative plays erasing a scoring opportunity is this organization’s bread and butter the last 5 years
  8. Onward and upward, well at least the spread has moved upward as the Bears are 5.5 point dogs in motor city. The Lions are coming off a bad loss to GB, but the Packers didn’t exactly run roughshod over them, with less than 300 yards of offense. But they didn’t need to do much since the Johnsonless Detroit offense did nothing. this is a get right game for both teams. A lot of times when things look their worst, the bears surprise with an upset win (or near win). I think 5.5 is a very covetable spread for this team. But they need defensive help and Caleb has to do much better.
  9. I really don’t see Caleb being on a long leash, exactly because of those long-term contracts. If they stick with him for a long time their own stars start to fade. If Caleb can’t improve by midseason he is probably benched at least temporarily and a losing season will result in relatively open competition for the job next summer. they have too many holes to be able to trade up for a new qb this draft, and 2026 will probably be a hodgepodge of qb play with that following offseason being the time when Ben will get to select his guy. Or Caleb can take some gradual steps and be serviceable by mid season. It’ll help to go against some non-Vikings defenses eventually.
  10. Because Poles is not good at his job
  11. The bears defense is awful, the fact he wasn’t good against them early is a knock against him. They haven’t had a pass rush in years and the one strength, the secondary, wasn’t playing. A competent QB should easily decimate this defense
  12. You can’t really forget how to do something you’ve never known how to do
  13. I really don’t get why Maye is getting a free pass as the supposedly better player than Caleb. Anyway, bears getting 4.5 next week at Lions feels like decent bet.
  14. I don’t see any Fields in his game. He’s a different version of disappointing
  15. Nah, most disappointing Eberflus losses were attempted comebacks that came up short. The one similarity was the loss to the broncos in 2023.
  16. Against the bears defense. Which is awful. And with a bears offense that just kept giving him the ball back.
  17. that was such an obvious illegal shift makes you wonder if the concussed player should be in there
  18. Are dbacks games televised?
  19. Vikings and the over
  20. horsefeathers. Show me a quarterback that doesn’t think he’s better than he is and I’ll show you a bad quarterback.
  21. The bears coaching staff was an absolute joke, especially the offensive coaches. Hiring that coordinator to lead a first overall QB in his rookie year was malpractice. Those guys were exposed as bad coaches and want to shift blame to the player who was left on an island to prolong their careers. A packers fan was happy to oblige.
