It's only become normal relatively recently for the Cubs. It's good to see a healthy franchise, even if it actually hurts the Cubs chances. I still don't see how a Milwaukee fan can justify hating Cubs fans, their willingness to prop up the attendance up there the past ten years practically kept that franchise afloat. Hmm...15,000 extra fans for 6-8 games a year = around 100,000 in attendance. I know it was hyperbole, but I don't think the Cubs fans really made THAT much of a difference. In 2004 they averaged 23,107 for 71 non-Cubs games, and 42,176 for 10 Cubs games. That's an extra 190,000 fans in one year alone, nearly 10% of their entire season's attendence. That's a very large percentage of revenue coming from a group you hate.
