  1. Instead of suspending a pitcher for 6 games, why not just make it 2 starts? Might make some of these guys think twice about throwing about batter's heads; Beckett is an idiot anyway  In order to really be 2 starts, it would have to be 11 games. But 6 games already affects their income. Guys don't like losing 6 days worth of pay.
  2. I think if Sanchez lasts this long, the Jets would be absolutely ecstatic. He's quite possibly the best QB in this draft, and that is huge question mark for this team.
  3. What. Perhaps I'm wrong, but there has to have been a good chance back in the early-to-mid 90's when the Bulls/Blackhawks each won playoff contests and the Cubs/White Sox won games. While thats probably true, I think the weekend was magnified because of how the Cubs, Bulls, and Hawks won. Cubs win on a walk off against long time hated rival, Bulls win on the road in OT against the defending Champs, and the Hawks come back from a 2-0 deficit to win. I wont go so far as to say its the greatest day in Chicago sports, but it definately was 1 hell of a good day for a fan of of 3 teams. It was definitely a good one. But it was still just a couple first round victories and mid-April baseball games. Given the championships that have been won, and more pivotal regular season games, I'm guessing there have been better days. Super Bowl XX should probably rank higher, just based on one team's win. And I'm not even a Bulls fan but there had to be days when the Bulls won a championship that were overall bigger days for Chicago sports fans.
  4. I think it's worth the money. Why should he hand over cash to MLB while being suspended? He could get it reduced to 1 game, and there's an outside shot he could have it completely overruled. Considering every previous suspension probably ways against you in future incidents, it's completely understandable why he'd want to fight it. Furthermore, Bradley is going to miss more games than these 2. He's also going to have to be rested at certain points. Why not push these 2 games to later in the year when he can use the rest and get some benefit out of it?
  5. What. Perhaps I'm wrong, but there has to have been a good chance back in the early-to-mid 90's when the Bulls/Blackhawks each won playoff contests and the Cubs/White Sox won games.
  6. People complaining about his work, with multiple days off in advance and a day off in between would just be entirely unrealistic.
  7. If we used him in between when we werent winning people would be complaining about overwork. To hell with everyone else, Lou should do what I think is right. Overwork is when he's on pace for 90+ outings and 100+ innings. Had he thrown on Wednesday and then again today, nobody would be complaining about overwork.
  8. What is so embarrassing about that? It's a really fun atmosphere and people enjoying themselves?
  9. CASE CLOSED. Well now I think I disagree, he hit a homerun there with a man on base and in an important situation.
  10. The pitching and lack of clutch hitting scares me. There isn't any such thing as clutch hitting. You either have hitting, or you don't. I disagree. Some guys can handle the situation and others can't. Look at Soriano's numbers with men on compared to nobody on. I'm not saying it proves my argument, but I think it shows evidence toward my argument. soriano's OPS from 2006-2008 with runners on: .884 soriano's OPS from 2006-2008 with no one on: .902 CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE. CASE CLOSED. You've convinced me.
  11. What? Senile Steinbrenner forced Yankee stadium attendees to endure an awful rendition of that song every freaking 7th inning stretch' date=' so instead of 7th inning stretching, and players warming up, everybody stands still and pretends to honor America. I turned a TV to YES Network to watch some baseball.[/quote'] Is it true that they kick you out if you are moving out of your seat while the song is playing? I don't think so. I've been there quite a few times and don't remember any sort of enforced standing still. Although I just usually stand up.

  13. EVERYBODY STAND STILL THEY ARE SINGING GOD BLESS AMERICA IN YANKEE STADIUM
  14. Maybe the RH thing was overrated last year Maybe? There's no maybe about it.
  15. it's a matherfarking homerun fest in Yankee stadium today
  16. Like I said in yesterday's game thread: Opposing managers should intentionally walk the bases loaded to start every inning. The Cubs would be lucky to finish .500 on the season. They would most likely go 162-0.
  17. I have no idea who this is, or why I should be outraged. Chevy Chase's character in the Vacation movies. It'd be like buying a Henry Rowengartner Cubs jersey. Except totally different. Clark's blackhawks jersey was a classic, he was a fan wearing a personalized jersey, and a terrific character. Henry was a fictional player. Speaking of fictional characters wearing hawks jerseys. I just saw the beginning of summer rental the other day and was schoked to find out that his character lives in Georgia.
  18. he had Buffalo taking Tyson Jackson in the previous draft, and he's still available (unless I'm blind), so let's give him TJ again.
  19. dubya hasn't been on since Wednesday, chances are he won't be here under the time limit, I say we make a pick for him
  20. It's early, pitchers are ahead of hitters, his timing is off, that is to be expected.
  21. Damon sure does make it look fun out there. Joba done for the day.
  22. whoever edited the title of this thread, you did a terrible job, change it back.
