  1. Pay your fair share in fines
  2. I don't really pay much attention to who does and does not get into the HOF but I don't expect any of these Bears to get there. To get multiple defenders from the same defense you need to have won a Super Bowl I assume. Are there any examples of 2/3 guys from the same defense making the Hall w/o a title? For an offensive linemen to get in the line has to have been reputationally excellent for an extended time. I think the lack of quality offense with him in there drags down Kreutz chances. And outside of Chicago I doubt many people think Hester should get in as a returner.
  3. I think the point he is trying to make is that Nagy has said, "Fields will start when he's ready and we will all know when that is". He wasn't ready last week with Dalton as an option, so why is he ready this week when Foles is the only other option? The only thing that makes sense is they think Dalton is better than Fields, but Fields is better than Foles. I mean, we know they don't want to waste anymore time on Foles, which is understandable. But a lot of us have questioned why they thought it was OK wasting time on Dalton. Yeah. That's what I was trying to say. What does Dalton's health have to do with Fields' readiness, if readiness is really what determines when Fields will be starting? Not that I have any desire whatsoever to see any more of Foles. "The QB will let us know when he is ready" is coach speak. This is disingenuous nitpicking. He's the backup to the starter who is out.

  5. Huh? I think the point he is trying to make is that Nagy has said, "Fields will start when he's ready and we will all know when that is". But a lot of us have questioned why they thought it was OK wasting time on Dalton. I don’t think this question comes from an honest viewpoint. Fields is the backup and the starter is injured. The only reason Foles is on the roster is because of cap ramifications of cutting him. People wanted Fields to start and he’s starting game 3 of his career. We should be happy about this. At least I am.
  6. There are six games with a touchdown or more spread this week. Could be some ugliness out there
  7. he should make like a tree and get out of town
  8. They found my work email and told me they've had trouble getting through to me on the other email address. #StalkTogether
  9. Well he has job security for a few more years. I'm not a fan of a lot of your posts but I enjoyed this one. Well done.
  10. Hot take but I think Fields kind of proved it was the right decision to ease him into the season/career. His talent and upside is obvious but there are some rough edges to work around and I think having a few snaps every game was/is helping. I was watching this one of my phone from the beach so I didn't catch every play, but I can't complain.
  11. And 3,000 more trips around the sun
  12. It is going to get him more experience. He'll have gone through 2-3 post game film sessions, which are different than college. He'll have gone through a few game weeks, which are different than college. He'll have seen NFL defenses going full speed, which is different than college. If you value the things that experience can give you a couple weeks does matter. It's about making him comfortable and not throwing him to the wolves with a battered offensive line. It's a reasonable approach to take. I think it's probably needlessly conservative, but I'm also not gonna start bleeding from my eyeballs from rage over it. All year I might eyeball bleed from rage. The only way that all year is on the table is if Dalton starts lighting in up and they win a ton. I'll be fine if that happens (it's not happening).

  14. I think people are overplaying the "Nagy has to be pressured to start Fields" story. Nagy wants Fields to be his QB. He's going to start. Nagy didn't want him to start from day 1. He will be making a change relatively soon, that much is obvious.
  15. you're a Packers fan posting in a Bears thread, that's all you need to be aware of. It will be read as douchiness regardless of your intent 9/10 times Well that's pretty petty. Seriously. *edit* And for what's it's worth, I've been a member of this forum for almost two decades. I don't spout off, I don't antagonize, I certainly don't troll. I'm a huge Cubs fan. So I generally don't post on any of the non-Cubs threads because I'm a Cubs fan first. But I obviously incorrectly thought that being on this board so long at least gave me a little bit of credibility as not being a troll. Apparently not. I'm not Bears fans by any means, but I think I'm a mostly objective fan in all sports. And I really don't think anything I've posted about the Bears (rarely) is egregious/outrageous/inflammatory/whatever. Seriously. And if "anything" I post on the Bears forum is "read as douchiness" because I'm a Packers fan, well that's pretty thin skinned. You're a packers fans deriding the bears with sarcastic comments in a bears thread. That's douchy.
  16. It’s Thursday and I never get my pick em selections in on time. Usually text out commish and tell him the pick after it’s locked.
  17. I hate it (only read your tl:Dr summary) Yeah, that is not a very promising framework.
  18. this horsefeathering guy If I'm interpreting your reply correctly, I'm not certain what's your beef is with my post. I don't think there's anything wrong with what I typed. There's' nothing baiting or trolling about it. If I were a Bears fan, would there be something wrong with what I typed? It seems odd to me that his coaching staff doesn't have a stock answer about Fields. As others mentioned, it's almost like he's being undermined. Are you that sensitive that a fan of a rival team can't comment on the Bears?? It was more in response to the Psaki comment, but also just your overall douchiness. Bears fans here, and other places, are freaking out about a fate acompli. And they're feeding your trolling. Fields will be the starter sooner than later. Chill the F out you dorks.
