  1. With that turf a concussion waiting to happen, I could easily see the Vikings pass rush concussing Cutler and making Todd Collins have to win the game. The O-line really needs to hold up. This is the most overblown whining bullet point from Bears fans from this game. If a guy's head bounces off the ground hard with force he's normally going to get a concussion. See Cutler in NY. Not overblown at all, and you are wrong. Guys can bounce their heads off the ground without getting a concussion quite easily. Not so on concrete.
  2. Unless they make a major leap up in the standings they absolutely should keep building for the future by the time the trading deadline arrives. Two wins are much less meaningful than 40% of a disappointing season. They are only 2 points ahead of 2 teams with 4 games in hand each. The playoffs remain very much in doubt.
  3. True, the Vikings are getting screwed terribly in home advantage and, almost certainly, financially, by the stadium situation, The Vikings aren't being screwed out of a goddmamn thing. It's their crap stadium that failed and their inability to set things straight a week after the fact.
  4. I'm not going go lie, just want to see one of these teams lose.
  5. Gb is an offense that is passing dependent and has qb + WR, bears are all qb.
  6. Went to dinner in NYC on saturday, Joe buck and hot young brunette next table.
  7. It's not even close to the first time that happened, plus the snow helped more than anything.
  8. Consensus is that it's a pretty great stadium. Opposite end of the spectrum from having to play in the dome for the Gophers. great in September and October, maybe. Seems completely inadequate in cold weather That's kind of like saying they botched Madison Square Garden because it's not suited for international soccer competitions. Ecept not at all. It's a football field in Minnesota not designed for weather you can easily get in college football season. And there was talk of the Vikings sharing it at one point. Just makes no sense.
  9. Those are two vastly different contracts and not really an either or situation.
  10. Let's just hope nobody wins 86 the next decade because cubs should have 85 a couple times.
  11. Hahahaha. He's much better and younger but if you forget his best season for some dumbass season maybe you can pretend he isn't. Good analysis.
  12. I think it's even worse that there are probably a lot of non mouth breathers who believe most of what he wrote is true.
  13. Not to be too cynical but it's pretty clear that was his intention by doing this. It was an investment in his future. If he never came back he would be a much loved former Cub. Now he's got a chance of living the lifetime icon dream, which is what I'm sure he and Ricketts talked about. We will be seeing a lot of Wood the next 30 years.
  14. You better have been eating Red Ivy instead She would appreciate it.
  15. I would be all over Greinke. You don't win big without big time performers anywhere and nobody in the system is capable of doing what Greinke does. It may fail spectaculiarly, but I'd rather fail in pursuit of 99 wins and a World Series than succeed in staying in contention with 83 win teams.
  16. I'll preface this by saying I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it was Moss calling in. However, I don't think it was him. The voices sound very similar, but "Woody" has a deeper voice than Moss in comparison to the actual clip of Moss they played. Could it just be my imagination or the difference in days? Sure, but I'd tend to think that wasn't Moss, just somebody who sounds a lot like him. Also, it wouldn't be terribly odd for somebody from Nashville to refer to the Vols as Tennessee initially. If it were a caller from East Tennessee, that'd be different, but the devotion to UT dilutes a bit once you cross into Middle Tennessee. Interestingly, this came out right about the same time the Tennessean ran a story about how Moss is happy with his role and has been intently tutoring Kenny Britt. I don't doubt that he would do it, I just don't think they sounded similar.
  17. i disagree, he's most identified with the blackhawks. he actually played longer in detoit i think and had more success in both montreal and detroit. but he's a chicago boy. this isn't like the idiot avalanche retiring ray bourque's number. To me, the Chicago Blackhawks are Roenick, Chelios and Amonte. Those older guys mean nothing to me, but I appreciate their place in history. Chelios was a Blackhawk who ended up with Detroit because Wirtz and Pulford sucked balls. I hold nothing against him and do not understand anybody who does.
  18. I don't buy it.
  19. http://deadspin.com/5714705/this-is-how-you-give-a-post+game-interview I'll have to think about it, think about it deeply.
  20. If it's based on position I would not doubt that. He's been a tremendous hitting shortstop.
  21. Having been a former resident, I can state with some confidence that there's enough to do to keep you from sexually assaulting teammates/recruits/whatever. I don't believe you, pervert. If there was a football playoff, mid major schools wouldn't have to resort to this kind of thing!! Or those backwoods hillbillies woud have a bigger pool of anuses to stick things in.
  22. Teddy Greenstein is apparently pushing stars and stripes, which is probably more dumb. The non geography thing is just so dumb. The teams pretty clearly break into a southeast and northwest breakdown. Or just West-East with Lake Michigan as the dividing line. The stupid Michigan-OSU obsession messed everything up. Sure, if they didn't already break them up stupidly. But they did. And as things stand now the two divisions mostly fit into a SE/NW breakdown.
