The player isn't as troubling as the idiotic decision to trade up for him I think there was a good chance Philly would have taken him at 46. I like him more than Randle. Enough to give up a 5th. For a team as desperately thin/incompetent as the bears are on oline, db and dt, they can't afford to give up more picks for an unspectacular player like him

ideally, AJ Jenkins would have been there at this pick. but i like this guy a lot. i don't think his weight will be a problem, it rarely ever is in the professional football. Weight is rarely an issue because fat wr don't play. but a 2nd round receiver will have a lot of oversight. This isn't the biggest loser. If a lazy slob gets his signing bonus hes not going to turn into a health nut.

McClellin was eventually rated a 1st round pick, but he shot up the board very late in the process and it was largely due to off the field workouts. I have no vested interest either way in the pick, but I think it was a pretty big reach for a 4-3 defense that he'll have some trouble fitting into. It is a Tampa 2 defense, so it's not all that crazy to think he could be productive at DE (Freeney is only 6'1 after all), but I do question his ability to excel at end in the NFL. Work out warriors. No it was bad. The scout master got his boy scout, not an impact football player. How can you possibly know this, without him playing a down in the NFL. You don't need to see a guy play in nfl. He hardly impressed against that Boise schedule. Wait until the tweener sees nfl linemen.

Yeah, I'm sure they were just winging it and didn't put in hundreds of hours of preparation. You probably know more than they do by reading some scouting reports online. A simpleton can put in all the work he wants, but heis still going to be a simpleton.
