  1. Id really like to see him playing CF in Chicago every day. We really need to move JJ, seems like someone would be interested in him *sigh*
  2. He wasnt going to pitch every game this season giving up 2 or fewer runs folks, this was bound to happen at some point.
  3. You are wrong! We will all look very cool once he wins the Cy Young this year. *cackles gleefully*
  4. MLB is the most exclusive old boys club on the face of the planet. It makes the Bush Administration look like an Amyway convention. There are plenty of people working for ball clubs that have no business being there. The Yankees just fired their trainer who got his job becuase the front office wanted to promote a series of health clubs. The Cubs hired a trainer who didn't have a liscence and then fired the guy who turned him in. MLB let people into clubhouses for the sole purpose of distributing steriods (allegedly). They rehire the likes of Dusty Baker, Phill Garner, and Charlie Manual on an annual basis. I could go on and on. The fact that Marshall is critical of MLB gives him a little more credibility in my estimation. lol point taken
  5. I just think that if the guy's ideas had merit he would have gotten a job somewhere for a major league team. There are plenty of open minded smart baseball people in the majors/minors you would think that if his ideas were sound that someone would have put them to use by now. I just think there has to be good reasons why this guy has been black balled the way he has.
  6. as the article clearly stated, no pitchers with what anybody would consider major-league talent have been willing to train with him. But Rudy Seanez is one. I have a feeling that his mechanics just force mediocre results. Also, to take someone with good talent and completely retool his mechanics could ruin them.
  7. How many successful major league pitchers has he produced? nuff said
  8. What's he going to say? My Ace pitched like crap again? He should. What really upsets me is that he does all that fist pumping and hollaring like he's thrown a no hitter at the end of every inning then points up to the sky as he's going into the dugout. Z! do you not realize that you have allowed tons of runs to score and that you are sucking horribly? Im suprised a teammate hasnt said anything about it.
  9. This has gone beyond his "usual bad start", its May now and this is getting ridiculous.
  10. I know this is hard to believe but sometimes its not an injury, its just general suckiness. Lack of effort? Lazy mechanics? A general unwillingness to listen to coaches? All of these can be factors in general suckiness. Usually the way to remedy this general suckiness is to send the player to the minors or trade him. He's not figuring it out and he's had ample time to do so.
  11. Can we send Zambrano to the minors? Marmol or Marshall could do a better job than this loser.
  12. Bullington is actaully putting up some solid numbers in AAA so far this season, there is some hope he will still be a solid starter in the majors, he's certainly alot closer than Hagerty.
  13. yes because I had a waiver claim go through very early this morning. I dont stay up 24 hours a day, I have to sleep and work. It'll be taken care of before games start today.
  14. There are alot of wildfires in southern GA. Today much of the smoke from those fires is covering the entire northern part of FL from one side of the state to the other in thick smoke. Its hazardous I think to breathe alot of. Im not sure why they would call the game I dont know really the phisical impacts of being out in the stuff but I can tell you here on the west side of the state near Tampa its very apparent, smelly nasty air.
  15. I think that his shoulder is destroyed to the point where it needs surgery but he refuses to go under the knife any more, which I can understand. So his career is basicly in limbo. He's waiting for it to heal to the point where he can pitch again but Im not hopeful that he won't return to the same situation a month after he begins throwing again. Its dissapointing obviously.
  16. Whitesox fans
  17. never seen blantantly bad calls like that last inning for Guzman, he threw some beautiful breaking balls right down the middle that were called balls, I wanted to throw something.
  18. For Christs sake why is Pie on this damn team? To be a late inning defensive replacement? Ya thats smart cause thats what he needs to work on. Jesus Its crucial to have Izturis at SS, thats why we have our 2nd baseman playing RF so Theriot can play 2nd. What a mess. Izturis is a waste of space, he cant play defense or hit so whats the point? We have 3 RF already now we have our 2nd baseman spending time out there to? There needs to be some moves made on this team soon to clear out the junk.
  19. I had Frasor for a while I picked him up as a FA no one had him. I then promtly droped him cause he was really bad. I picked up Reyes from TB he's been awesome all year and he was availible in my league I couldnt believe it. He is like 10/10 or so in save opportunities and Ks alot of people.
  20. I guess Im ok with drafting him if Wilken likes him, different people making/influencing the draft picks now. Id personaly rather have a college guy but I trust the current brains behind the picks more so than in previous drafts. I just hope he has or can learn plate discipline if we select him. btw I complain because I care, like most people here. My opinions may greatly differ from the norm here, but if we all thought the same way it wouldnt make for very interesting conversation. Id just like to see us with a guy that will succede for a change. Its been quite a while.
  21. Look out your front window Bixby Bud Selig and his cronies are on your front lawn with led pipes and other assorted street weapons lol. I can picture it now.
  22. What the heck is up with Michael Young he's hitting barely over .200, he's killing me at SS does he always start this slow? I dont remember him being this bad last year.
  23. No one's talking about recent comments, everyone knows he sucks now. We're talking about comments made around the time of the draft.
  24. I remember hearing basicly the same things about Harvey when he was drafted. I never heard anything remotely like that regarding Harvey. I heard people say they'd never seen anybody hit the ball as hard or far as Harvey, in terms of power. But every report I recall noted that he was not close to being a polished hitter, and would need to make a lot of adjustments to his stroke. Cubs hoped he'd figure that out; oops. The "hand-eye coordination and uncanny ability to make adjustments", nobody said that about Harvey. Yeah they did. Its really easy for everyone to say that things like that were never said, years later. I remember everyone raving about his great hand-eye cordination and what a great swing he had. They talked about all the different special drills he would run with different colored balls and how astonished they were with his pitch recognition. Every one oooo'd and ahhh'd about Harvey around the time of the draft just like Vitters and 3 years from now when I bring up that people said "I've never seen a hitter hit like this guy," they'll say that no one ever said that as well.
