    Hi guys I will most likely be returning for the 2008 season. As long as Tim will be back. I lost alot of games last year by a handful of points and it left me greatly distraught and depressed and I left my team to coast out the last quarter of the season. I need someone to post the website info for me again so I can get at my roster and start purging nonexempt players. Last year Tim was kind enough to post a list of exempt players for the 2007 season for each team that asked. Would anyone be willing to look at my roster and tell me who is exempt? Its a pretty confusing process to go looking at each player trying to figure out who is and isn't exempt.

    You really think they will even give Cedeno a chance at starting at SS? I have serious doubts about that. I really have a hard time understanding Hendry and his blind eye at the SS possition. Last year we were all talking about him upgrading over Izturis and this year its Theriot, its like he's willing to concede that possition offensively every year, like its suppose to be weak or something. Its frustrating as heck.

    Wow you guys amaze me, its not a 5 year contract, its a minor league deal with an invite to spring training. He's been a decent bulpen arm in the past, I remember some games that year he blew his arm out when he looked real good. He's worth a look, and thats all this really is. Why do people have to get negative and talk down about a guy this way I dont really understand. Probably because Jim is making a bunch of moves like this instead of ones that could improve the team. I have nothing wrong with this signing, but I wonder if Fukudome is gonna be the only big move we make. I just hate to see Chad Fox blasted because of Hendry's ineptness, is ineptness a word?. Well you get my point.

    Did he realize he had already been traded according to the "Oriole Insiders"? I have to admit i couldn't help but laugh with that Belkast story. He was given false information anf got busted ! :lol: . I have some good news now. Belkast has posted again and has said that everything is cool between his source and him. He will continue to post information but only when receives the ok from his source. :mrgreen: Which info was false? The entire story (trade)? I dont usually trust info from people on message boards anyway, but I have to admit this thread had me going.

    Has anyone heard a firm date for the press conference yet? Wasnt it suppose to be sometime this week? Was his baby born yet? Babies are a hard thing to schedule around lol...

    There is no point, this whole report is so pointless. A whole bunch of heresay and second hand, "iffy" information. It wont even change anything, there will always be players of all sports that look to gain an advantage this way, and there will always be new drugs that are more advanced than the testing.

    Ive heard that winterball fields are atrocious, poorly maintained and so you see alot of infield errors during these games due to crazy hops ect.

    They dont need another outfileder though, they are already overloaded with outfielders.

    Yeah, I do believe that movies and the media create the bulk of how other countries percieve us, its sad but true. *sigh* People can make up thier own minds on this topic, I really didnt mean to derail the subject of this thread. I dont come here for discussion about war/politics probably the bottom of my interest list. This is my last post on the subject.

    And we should glorify it and show it to the world so that they can think all of our military is like this because of....? How many Movies are created showing all of the good things our military does for us, about how they risk thier lives every day fighting for us? Why not make a film about the many rapes of Iraqi women by their fellow Muslims? Or about how many U.S. troops have saved countless women from the mass raping of Uday and Qusay Hussein or the rapes by their fighting Sunni and Shi'ite co-religionists? Could go on and on.

    Do a little research, it might shock you. Since this is the "Baseball Discussion" Thread its not really the place to discuss Cuban's bizarro anti-American film, but I was shocked when I found out about it. I was very much in favor of Cuban being the Cubs next owner, learning about that film completely changed my feelings about him. He's now made alot of enemies with that film, he was facing a real challenge getting owners to aprove his ownership proposal to begin with, Id say the film and the buzz its creating is only going to make it harder for him. I encourage people to look it up info on it and judge it for themselves, I certainly found it upsetting. Here's a small piece I dugg up: Our soldiers dont deserve to be depicted this way, its beyond upseting its sickening. Cuban funded the production of this movie to the tune of 5 million dollars. He's done some backtracking on it lately though and had pieces of it edited.

    This is why I have pretty much avoided espn and every sports news outlet that is not WGN, comcast or XM. The guys at XM have not mentioned Bartman or the curse at all to my recolection, I listen to thier morning show a good bit. WGN and ComcastSPNCH are not going to mention it. I wont watch ESPN till next year because of stuff like this, unless of course we win the World Series. The thing that sucks is that I'll have to mute the tv several times tonight probably. Sadly XM is only broadcasting the "home" versions of radio broadcast or Id just listen to Pat and Ron. I guess I cant do that untill Saturday. If we get to the next round I think they are expanding to having both home and road games broadcast.

    2003 had better starting pitching, but the bulpen was not as good. This team has better hitting and more power I think. Wood/Prior/Zambrano were awesome that year.

    As the mop up guy if they have a 8 run lead. This is probably a move more to keep from pissing off Jason more than it is needing him. He'll probably never see the mound. Thats what Im hoping. I hope he wasnt added at the expense of Hart, Hart is far more valueble out of the pen.
