  1. The kid owns the Angels. He beat Jon Garland in his first start for OAK.
  2. and the Cubs finally drop that L on Sabathia that he should have gotten last time around (if it hadn't been for Howry that is)... :D Cubs Win! Cubs Win! Cubs Win! Magic Number is 4
  3. Brewers' fans have gotten their wish.
  4. Like your friend heard that on the radio, or he is Steve's buddy, or??? Stone said it on The Score yesterday, as he was sitting in for vacationing George Ofman, on the Hit and Run show. He was guessing; I don't think he has any inside knowledge on the decision.
  5. Its just widescreen, instead of full HD. And yeah... kinda hard on the eyes. But I'll take very crap TV over no TV! (still fuming on no TV for last night!!) Yeah but this is wide screen is strange, it's partially cutting off part of the wording. Oh well...
  6. Is is just me or are CSN's graphics craptastic right now?
  7. OMG, I can't believe it. I'm tearing up for Z
  8. WGN radio carries every regular season, and post season, game without exception.
  9. Haha, are you seeing ATL's current reliever? Gonzalez?? The swaying before the windup. Put him and Youkilis together, and they would ROCK on "Dancing With the Stars"! Well, if the Brewers really do complete the collapse they are crafting, the WC may go to the Mets because the Phillies might just win the East again.
  10. OMG, the Mets bullpen is bad
  11. The Cubs just sent me an email. You can buy them on Cubs.com
  12. Momentum in baseball is all about the pitcher on a given day. if the Cubs get no hit tomorrow it won't matter what Lilly did today. But when there is a bad taste left in the mouth of the team at the end of each game, the positives aren't there and it causes tightness in the locker room. At this point in the season, the way that things are going, we need to be piling up the positives to try to get all the way out of the funk that we're in. Bad tastes is for fans; These guys just care about wins. Don't think for a second that any one of them is upset about this victory. The Cubs have been a good team all season. Don't get caught up in the last 10 -12 sub par games. If anything, this helps Woody's confidence that he can close a game when he doesn't have his best stuff. Not to mention he needed the work (he wouldn't be so shaky if he was pitching regularly).

  14. Whew! LOL, it was shaky but I'm glad Woody pitched the 9th. He needs regular work and to keep his confidence. Cubs Win! Cubs Win! Cus Win!
  15. It's not really a surprise, he was the stopper much of last year. I know he had a 9-1 stretch following team losses...
  16. T. Lil' gettin' it done. 90 pitches through 8 but Woody needs work so I expect he'll pitch the 9th.
  17. Lilly with only 80 pitches through 7
  18. LOL, Lilly fancies himself a bulldog
  19. Not a break, it was the right call because his foot wasn't on the base.
