    Why would we do that, and why would they do that? Well I guess we could put Fox and Hoff in a platoon. But we better be getting something good back. Selling low on somebody with as much talent as Bradley is a bad idea. I'm just reporting what Marty said... Anyway, I could see the Cubs wanting to get rid of him and the Tigers wanting to use him as a DH (which was also mentioned). Where the hell have you been? :shock: In mourning/feeling bad for myself. My mom passed away in Dec (3) and I'm just getting into baseball. It's a good distraction...

    Brennenman just said on WLW that he heard a rumor, from a good source, that the Tigers are trying to trade for Milton Bradley.

    I don't need to look anything up to know that a ML manager doesn't win games; players do. That rah-rah crap might have "worked" on your HS or college team but it doesn't mean anything in MLB. If it were that easy every manager would show "fire."

    That would be pointless and dumb. Why would it be? Show the team that you are sick of their piss poor performance and it's not acceptable. But my guess you haven't been in a dugout like myself so you wouldn't know. It's ridiculous because the manager showing displeasure isn't going to make the players perform. Also, insulting the media isn't going to do anything other than make him look like a sore loser and all around idiot.

    No, it's not! My mom went into the hospital on Thursday. This series was disappointing but nothing people should get too down about. The Cubs had a great regular season, it just didn't workout in the end.

    I'm watching this game and the Cubs' postgame on Comcast Sportsnet. I just saw Demp talking about being upset with himself... Call me crazy, but I'm strangely confident about tomorrow (I expected to feel really badly, going in, if they lost but I'm cool). Obviously, tomorrow is huge. In other news, the media ask some really unnecessary questions.

    So you're here to say "I told you so?" Walking the bases loaded and giving up a grand slam, has nothing to do with playing "lackadaisical" so save that noise. Yeah that's what I'm saying. And it has everything to do with playing that way especially on the offensive side. Just seems like they thought they could show up and turn it on. Whatever man. They pitched well and we didn't. The Cubs had games like these during the regular season.
