If Nady stays in bed this AM, we win 1-0. Maybe. I'd have to go back to look but I don't think Konkero comes to the plate in that inning if Pierre is tagged out. At the very least he's there with no one on base. The defense was lacking in RF and at SS. Castro should be called out for his mistakes too. Lou said, in the post game, that Trammel has been working with him to put the tag down instead of reaching. He also said he thought the ball to Nady hung up in the air a long time and that it should have basically been caught.

[expletive]. Stone was a pitcher not someone in a position of power on the field or behind the scenes. To the point about anyone expressing an opinion, that's fine to a degree but it should be done in a professional manner. Stone makes all of his criticisms about the Cubs dripping with sarcasm and as if he's eliciting laughs. That's a man with an axe to grind. Piniella merely took time to, finally, respond to Stone's barbs. Whether you agree with the substance of the criticism its hard to believe that you too wouldn't be pissed by someone constantly critiquing your performance (especially when that person is watching from a far). Why doesn't Stone ever criticize Ozzie in the same manner? It's two fold; talking about the Cubs keeps Stone relevant in town, because there are far more Cubs fans than people who really care about the Sox, and he knows Ozzie would call him out relentlessly.

No, no, no what are you talking about? He is the savior and can't be worse than Ramirez, I mean look at his numbers at AAA he was awesome down there!!! Well, I'm not convinced that he's any worse than this year's version of Ramirez. They both have sucked.

Now Silva's infected by the sad sack offense. Seriously though, Castro needs to be told not to reach when tagging the runner at second. Pierre should have been out and the game going to extras at worst...

Russell was optioned but Atkins flight was delayed because of rain so he hasn't arrived yet per Muskat.
