  1. the radio announcer seems to think the run will count if they get Javy out.
  2. dang. the shootout alone seems worth watching . . . should have played Henderson
  3. that Bale guy can make a difference . . .
  4. meh. Sancho to displace Pulisic again? https://www.espn.com/soccer/blog-transfer-talk/story/4389373/live-transfer-talk-chelsea-launch-robust-bid-for-dortmunds-jadon-sancho
  5. agreed. especially if they end up trophyless. sounds like they do not need to sell Mbappe first.
  6. I have a hard time seeing this move happening. No one will want to pay $150 for Kane with Mbappe and Haaland as alternatives. I don't see anyone that desperate for a striker that also has the money. Barcelona would be a great fit if Messi stays but I don't see them having the funds. City would be an option but they don't really need him . . .
  7. not to be lost on the weekend, John Brooks joins the Champions League (assuming he stays at Wolfsburg). Gio also in as Frankfurt self destructs. So Brooks, Gio, Adams, and Richards (if he comes back to Bayern) play CL next year. Looks like McKennie is probably on outside looking in though.
  8. People criticize the away goals rule but penalties are far worse . . . definitely should not count goals in extra time though. I agree with Wolf. Man U seems like the better style for Kane.
  9. As long as he doesn’t go to Chelsea. apparently there is some feud there that makes it unlikely? Worse for spurs though because they'll get Haaland instead.
  10. Kane asks to be moved but only to a PL team. Seems like he may be able to attract an offer but could be tough spot for Spurs.
  11. plan failed? I don't know, unless we have some good prospects?
  12. Hoppe puts a dagger in Frankfurt . . . dang. chance of top four they lose to relegated Schalke. Chelsea looked like Lampard Chelsea - no offensive threat.
  13. As a former prosecutor I guess I should say something. Prosecutors have prosecutorial discretion to prosecute whatever they want but will generally defer to what the victim wants (especially on misdemeanors) unless there is some evidence or feeling that the victim isn’t cooperating for untoward reasons (think battered wives, etc). Padres Bro could definitely still be charged and still might, but it would only be a misdemeanor assault charge and the municipal prosecutors probably have their hands full with other stuff. consistent with my experience with padres fans . . . right Tim?
  14. Yes, back injury is what I read. The comments seemed to indicate it wasn't super serious, so hopefully it won't be a problem for Nations League. boy, leipzig missed him.
  15. is Tyler Adams hurt?
  16. maybe you can teach me . . . I cannot hit my driver at all these days. on the plus side, every other club is going great!
  17. oh Sevilla - you had it in your hands . . .
  18. about 10 min into the second half when it was clear RM had nothing going in the midfield, you just knew Pulisic was going to do something. they were stretched so thin. every time he got the ball it felt like a goal was on the other end the game got a lot more fun to watch when he came on! An American will win the champions league . . .
  19. though, wow, CP was absolutely devastating as a sub. RM looked terrified of him - and rightly so.
  20. Havertz has not been good. I don't understand how Nacho isn't sent off for that horsefeathers. 1st yellow for foul - double yellow for aftermath. I forget what hacks RM are. Chelsea may rue the missed chances.
  21. and no Pulisic for Chelsea. I don't get it.
  22. https://www.espn.com/soccer/paris-saint-germain--frapsg/story/4377657/announcer-jim-beglin-sorry-for-comment-about-psgs-angel-di-maria Unbelievable that he said this. Sounds like Harry Caray circa 1986
  23. City dominates the hockey match . . . PSG had no chance with Mbappe injured and those conditions. Hard to see city not winning it all.
  24. that Chelsea schedule is brutal.
  25. is there anything more American than corporate soccer? Dike is staying at Barnsley through the players. He'll battle Cameron Carter-Vickers in the players. Had forgotten about CCV
