  1. Having a cold beer to calm down now - I agree that wasn’t a good game. I hope KDB and Eden will get fit for Friday’s game. poorly officiated also. I think KDB returns but not E Hazard - he was pretty rusty anyway. Belgium was not impressive.
  2. good weekend though the quality of the Portugal-Belgium game was sure lacking. Glad Pepe is out. CR starting to show his age - at least in the games I watched. Perhaps too much after the long season.
  3. to be fair, you have to get it in the air for the elevation to help so you did that! I once hit a drive like that at that course near the AFA. Was it Eisenhower? I prob know the hole you're talking about. I think it must have been but I don't really remember. I looked at the map and I don't think it was the club on the other side of 25. Pretty sure the hole was downhill to the south
  4. baseball suffers from the same upper management problem my company does - too much solving of problems that don't exist.
  5. Figured I would give an update on this since it's been 5 months. I passed my written test 2 months ago and then my playing qualifying test 3 weeks ago. The target score that I had to beat that day was 159 (36 holes) on a course I've never played on (The Player's Club at Wooland Trails- which is where Ball State plays at). Ended up shooting 150 (77-73). Now all I have to do is start looking for jobs, apply, etc. Haven't decided where I want to move to yet. How is everyone's game coming along? I got FOUR pars the last time I played 18. FOUR! (I also hit a drive 370 yards, but that's because it was WAY downhill at 10,000 ft elevation) to be fair, you have to get it in the air for the elevation to help so you did that! I once hit a drive like that at that course near the AFA.

How exciting to choose where to move! My one piece of advice is remember that you can always move back or move again so I wouldn't fret the location too much! If you come to northern California, let me know as my game definitely needs some help!
  7. totally unfair we have to play the brewers while they play the cubs . . .
  8. https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-transfers/story/4419187/us-teen-caden-clark-signs-for-rb-leipzig-on-three-year-deal
  9. especially if you believe Germany is washed up and England massively overrated (as always). Hard to know how good Netherlands is either . . . Spain's path is brutal although I think they will handle Croatia without too much trouble.
  10. Or Hungary, if they win. don't think so - it's the group runner up. Anyway, France gives up a handling penalty . . . Kounde's arm was definitely raised but wouldn't you say having your arms up to indicate the ball went out is a natural position? or I guess it is hungary if france also wins

  12. so England wins its group and gets portugal, france, or germany. hahahaha
  13. Your wish has been granted ( Denmark deserves to go through ) and Russia is out
  14. I don't get it - what did I miss?
  15. UEFA quickly abandoning the high ground . . . https://www.espn.com/soccer/uefa-european-championship/story/4412850/euro-2020-uefa-could-strip-wembley-of-hosting-final-semis-over-uk-quarantine-rules-sources
  16. KDB man. Looking back to form.
  17. that's all about the speed of alphonso davies!
  18. What they left out of that article was that Rahm was informed that one of his close contacts tested positive and THEN got vaccinated. It wasn't until he realized that he could actually miss tournaments (or get tested a lot) because he wasn't vaccinated that he got around to it. He does say that he "honestly wasn't thinking about it" which was clearly true. Whatever, his punishment more than fit the crime, I suppose. yea, I guess at least he isn't bitching and moaning about it.
  19. https://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/31638941/jon-rahm-says-wishes-vaccinated-sooner-confident-us-open-prep-short-turnaround I don't think they get tested if they are vaccinated - or at least not daily. This makes me like Rahm a little better.
  20. the players not getting paid is the only thing not professional about college football.
  21. Copa America - two groups of 5 play a round robin over two weeks that eliminates exactly two teams. Then they play knock-outs. Just in case anyone didn't see the greed.
  22. it's not that surprising. Their other half leading their group too . . .
  23. Spain needs a striker. Morata works hard but kind of sucks. It was like watching a sloppy version of Barcelona. 85% possession . . .
  24. 8 minutes into a scoreless game and sweden is stalling . . ..
  25. this is good. perhaps he can become a left back
