  1. CONCACAF was looking to increase homophobia in the region
  2. He also probably knows all the best spots for stone skippin' and muddin'. think he's vaccinated? Did they only have budget to go to arkansas this year?
  3. yea, but mexico was way more dominant . . . that was poor against an opponent USMNT should dominate. Busio was impressive and agree on Yueill
  4. The olympics has too many sports - do we really need 3v3 basketball as well as regular basketball? Anyway, not a fan of olympics on the other side of the date line as I can never figure out when things are happening or avoid knowing the results before the broadcast . . . too confusing! yes, I'm a whiner.
  5. boy, that was a poor effort by USMNT last night. Hopefully that gets better because that was borderline embarassing.
  6. copa oro - like putting cheese whiz on your creme brulee?
  7. Buenos Aires goes into day 2 celebrations . . .
  8. I can’t speak for Sterling but Kane’s always been a bit of a diver. Never liked that part of his game. Sterling has definitely become one - also Salah. What's annoying is they throw themselves into the defender to make contact and then they get the call (though not in this game).
  9. yea, basically you want to make the keeper save it - the italian keeper is 6'5" so the window to get in above him is not that big and the risk of going over (or off) the bar is too high. Basically, each of those balls that was saved probably goes in if it's on the ground.
  10. Kane and Sterling have been taking lessons on the diving apparently.
  11. he just knew he couldn't get any more height on his dives . . . Lougainis would have been proud!
  12. not just in Argentina either! Woot!
  13. is it? That play decided the game. Out of curiosity, do you think he would have had a better shot of deflecting the ball at a more advantageous angle or maybe even grab the shot had the laser pointer not affected him? I'm seriously asking because he obviously made the save, but it may have been the case of him guessing right but not seeing the ball well enough to prevent the rebound right back to Kane. hard to say. and I do see soccer10k's point. It's just so unfair to denmark.
  14. you can't let fans alter the outcome of games. Doubt they would ever do it but that horsefeathers can't be allowed to happen. Of course it shouldn’t happen. I don’t think anyone is okay with it happening. I’m just saying making the team forfeit a game for something one fan did is excessive. Hopefully they can figure out who the fan was that did it and ban him. is it? That play decided the game.
  15. Making a team forfeit because some dumb fan shined a light in the GKers eye seems just a bit excessive. you can't let fans alter the outcome of games. Doubt they would ever do it but that horsefeathers can't be allowed to happen.
  16. That's disgusting. Forfeiture should be on the table as that potentially changed the outcome of the game as if England needed help beyond the refereeing.
  17. we'll see what happens but that felt like it should have been the final. you just knew morata would miss. The jeering at home sucks but so does he.
  18. https://www.espn.com/soccer/uefa-european-championship/story/4425446/euro-2020-uefa-bans-rainbow-advertising-at-two-quarterfinals maybe they shouldn't be hosting events in these countries?
  19. I thought the same thing.
  20. Love this from Sweden's coach - so seldom you see this type of honesty. "I was really surprised it was a free kick at first, but my colleagues in the stands said it was a red card. It's an experienced referee. I think it's probably right." For me, it was clearly a red.
  21. Zinchenko is so good. Can't wait to see him paired with Grealish next year.
  22. well, that was an appropriate end to the round of 16 . . .
  23. horsefeathers England.
  24. what a day! I think elimination games bring about desperation and risks . . . another reason penalties suck
