    wow, what an awful play. down 10-7 with two outs in the ninth and he tries to go to third from first on a single and gets thrown out. how do these guys not know better?

    not the point. the point is his managing risked his pitchers health for several years. I do think he should have gotten prior out of there earlier as it was clear he was done when castillo was batting.

    why can't you blame him? He didn't win the world series and his managing may be part of the cause of our not winning it the next 3 years.

    The Cubs hadn't been to a World Series in a while. I betcha this GM would have done the same thing as Dusty in 2003. The problem is that Wood has bad mechanics and he hasn't been willing to change them. I am beginning to think Prior is a wuss because he hadn't known what pain was before he got to the big leagues. All major league pitchers fight through pain and Prior is going to have to do it if he wants to start 30-35 games regularly. He actually said that - that he understood why dusty did it and that he nearly went to the WS by doing it. Just making the point that they may be paying the price for it now.

    Patterson's stats really demonstrate small sample size, don't they? They looked pretty mediocre coming in and now they look good.

    From conversation by Rockies announcer with Gary Hughes. Wood to throw simulated game this weekend and is far ahead of Prior. Prior is pain free though. Announcer also blames Dusty for overusing them in 2003.

    not so much I guess. I see Pie has 3 walks in his first 32 ABs - I could live with 50-60 walks a year for him.

    Perhaps because Baker is capable of 7 IP, 1R, 1ER, 3H, 1 BB, 4K against the NY Yankees. This just in.... apparently Baker is pretty good himself. To bad I had no confidence in him and had him sitting on the bench vs the Yankees, I wont make that mistake again. heh, next time he'll get rocked! Utley 17 points today in half a game. rest of team 16.75

    utley single-handedly getting me back into it. four homers in two days - grand slam just now.

    We're still pissed at him bringing in Weurtz. because it had a low probability of success and barrett has been redhot.

    I think Williamson was well used to put out the fire in the 6th.

    my RK team is much better actually. at least on offense. So far howard and fielder haven't been consistent, crosby has been hurt and utley mediocre. the pitching has been awful.

    my team sucks this year. next year we'll dominate. seriously, my team does not score any points - and its not just the leftfielder!
