  1. I say baseball, because Pujols has been consistently the best player for a while. Tomlinson has been extremely good, but he's not a #1 pick because to me there's no clear cut winner. Each year it's different. Tomlinson won't replicate those numbers, the same way Shaun Alexander won't replicate his own numbers. I don't watch a lot of basketball or hockey, and I only play fantasy footbal and baseball. If I have the number one pick in baseball, I take Pujols hands down. If I have the #1 pick in Football, I choose between Manning (as much as I hate him), Tomlinson, and Larry Johnson
  2. David Eckstein can "oblique" my balls, Cap-E-Tan. David Eckstein can "oblique" his own balls, thank you very much
  3. "A career gamer" makes him sound like a nerd who sits in his mothers basement playing World of Warcraft all day
  4. Okay, cause I saw the website for the documentary and all that stuff a couple years ago and thought ot myself "A grown mentally challeneged Cubs fan got a documentary about him? Impressive"
  5. Don't mess with Texas
  6. I've never experienced a Woo-Woo moment, as I've been to very few Cubs games in my lifetime. Is the guy mentally challenged? Is he just insane? Or is he just really devoted? Like when you see him outside Wrigley, can you have a regular conversation with him or is he impossible to talk to?
  7. Hmmmm... I didn't know that hitting .284/.342/.901 with 4HR and 18RBI in 48 games is "tearing it up". How are these numbers David Shoenfield? .328/.412/.934 with 3HR 16RBI and 13SB in 53 games? He says Loney's numbers were "tearing it up" in the bigs and says they should've avoided Garciaparra, but make no mention of Theriot's performance in the DeRosa discussion? Ignorance. Yeah, Loney is a highly touted prospect, but he didn't "tear it up" in the bigs. Also... Did he rewrite the book on a players prime years? Or am I the [expletive] who thought the ages of 28-32 are a players prime years for the last who knows how many years?
  8. I thought it was funny when Wilbon was like "When will Prior be ready? Late May? Sometime in June? when" And Lou got all defensive like "Hey, hey, he's fine!"
  9. thanks for the knowledge... i turned it on just in time, about to come on after the break!
  10. that plus that whole Griffey/Bonds dinner where Bonds said he was going to take hard-core stuff was never actually proven, it was just here-say by the reporters who accused Bonds of cheating, was it not? And even Griffey said he didn't recall the dinner. That being said, I still think Bonds cheated, and I agree that the media attention he gets is bunk, and the ones who actually WERE caught cheating deserve more blame than Bonds.
  11. Only coming from a guy in Alabama! I was born in Chicago and grew up in Florida, thank you very much, I just go to school here. :) I mean, honestly, I understand the whole "Hey, let's cut up and have some fun" aspect of spring training, I just find it ironic that the San Francisco Giants are the only ones who think of cross dressing and mimicing American Idol, a show notoriously followed by mostly pre-teen girls (not all by them, but mostly). I mean... whose idea was that? Don't they have Cranium or 20Questions or something? That's just weird, and I don't see the point in it besides it being a publicity stunt (or to show the world that Barry Bonds still has a feminine side after all the roids) \:D/ j/k
  12. Only in San Francisco
  13. Yeah but Billy Wagner pitches 1 inning a few times a week
  14. Who'd you get on your team?
  15. Great article, Bruce. Me? I wanted Girardi. Now? I'm glad I didn't get my way. No offense to Girardi, but Lou is the man, and everything he says gets me pumped up for this season. Lou kicks ass.
  16. You know, I always wondered that myself

  18. Beat me to it. Spot on.
  19. Even more than when he had A-Rod, Griffey, Buhner, Martinez, and Johnson on his team? I figure that'd be a tough act to follow, but if he believes that then that is mighty encouraging
  20. If I intended to put on a baseball camp, I'd want to do it in Hawaii, too
  21. <--- HappyScrappyHeroPup. I wanted The Little Lebowski Urban Achievers, but that name was too big
