  1. Fine, it's mostly irrelevant. On the order of a handful of runs per season. or, in reality, on the order of a handful of wins per season.

  4. maybe the trib can try and get a big bailout from obama in order to increase payroll ten fold. oh wait obama would do that for the sox, not the cubs. loser.
  5. i wont win. even if my picks are the *best* based purely on probabilities alone someone elses will be more accurate. it's like playing poker. If I have AA, I have the best hand, but if I let 8 guys in before the flop and I don't know their hands, well odds are I am not going to win. The field has a better chance.
  6. ive been on the stephen drew bandwagon since he got out of college. hated him prior to that though.
  7. i like watching fresno state myself. pat hill games are always entertaining. you never know what shenanigans he's going to pull out.
  8. while we're kind of related to the subject at hand. man it would be great to have a left-handed power hitting shortstop. let's kidnap stephen drew
  9. So, here, we have a statistic that has an extremely large error in terms of actual fielding "production", and that even if we considered that it had no error, it's still 80% randomness. Really there's no use in wasting our time quantifying such data.

  13. your damn right it's a gift. its like khalil next year. my thoughts are that his true talent level is a 280 or so eqa, but i am not expecting him to be much more than 265 next season. ive got all my bases covered. its quite brilliant and the reason im hardly ever wrong.
  14. hahaha san diego is so poor they couldnt afford anything but a cab ride from san diego to vegas for towers. and they even had to split the tab halfway with another passenger.
  15. In fairness to Meph (I'm sure I'll get toasted for defending him), but he did say that it would be OU/Texas unless the human polls went extremely heavily toward Florida and away from Texas. And they did just that. Not defending the "i'm a bit of a god" thing, though. and i quote: "Sorry guys, Florida's not jumping Texas if Texas can stay ahead of Oklahoma in half the polls." in fact my computer projections were completely spot on, i got them exact.

  17. But you said that Florida was going to get left out of the title game even if they beat Alabama. Oops. no i said there was a chance. the voters completely flip-flopped on texas. Which wasn't the least bit surprising since they did the same thing with Michigan two years ago. this was a totally different situation.
