  1. In the Colley Ranings this would actually swap Oklahoma and Florida. If Cincy wins 1. Oklahoma 2. Texas 3. Florida If Hawaii wins 1. Florida 2. Texas 3. Oklahoma This is a possible scenario where OU MIGHT get left out, though that's unlikely. If Hawaii wins, Florida is in no matter what. The reason? It hurts OU, because they have a win over Cincy. It hurts UT because they have a win over OU, which means they have a second level win over Cincy (which most of the computers look at). Alternatively, it also gives Florida a second level win over Cincy, since they beat Hawaii...and improves their SOS because Hawaii knocks off, what the computer thinks, a top fifteen team. Hawaii is now up 17-10
  2. alright...heisman discussion
  3. T_T hasn't watched a single Ole Miss game this season. Don't expect him to notice that.
  4. the only way to complete the cycle is moody. did moody ever come close to committing to texas. apparently hes good enough to start at any school but usc and florida.
  5. well there are two reasons for that comment. 1. Mizzou has no pass defense. They gave up 40 and 42 to the Illini and Kansas. Snead's a much better QB than Reesing and Juice. 2. You were predicting 40 points for Mizzou. The only way they get to forty against that defense is if the game is a quick pace game....meaning Ole Miss gets a ton of possessions too and they also score a ton of points. Pace of game matters. See OU
  6. I dont see how Ole Miss fails to top 40 in the game.
  7. So, you're saying. If Missouri lost Chase Daniel, then they'd still beat them? Because that's what you are saying, even if you did not mean it. Ole Miss basically added Chase Daniel this year....and Nutt.
  8. he did that all game long.
  9. you do that. i never said otherwise. but dont use points. im only saying that the game was closer than the score indicated, as far as predicative value. didnt say it closed the entire gap. i said whatever gapped remained was closed by snead and nutt and the development of the team this year...coupled with mizzou falling apart.
  10. The Snead-McCoy thing is really going to work out terrific for both players and programs in the end. Bradford was in that mix at one point too. Ironically enough, Snead was hooked into Florida at one point as well.
  11. the best performance ive seen from a passing qb this season was his performance against LSU. the LSU defense had gotten gashed by UGA and UF. Tebow and Stafford had big windows to throw in as their WR got in big spaces. LSU got gashed by Ole Miss, but the CB play wasn't nearly as poor. Snead gashed them with outstanding passes. The second best was McCoys against OU where he was hitting the slants all night long on the blitz.
  12. Did you see who Tebow said his favourite actress was? Zeta-Jones indeed!
  13. im not saying they should have won the game. the yardage in the end means more about the relative talent level of the two teams. in a prediction sense, it means more. i merely used the yardage to illustrate that the actual difference between the two teams was closer than the, already less than 2 touchdown difference. Id say that a 2 touchdown difference between the two teams that might have existed last season has evaporated. on a side note holy hell, Oklahoma ran NINETY TWO PLAYS today..
  14. thats why we play the entire game. Ole Miss is vastly improved this year and the rushing game for Mizzous seems to have regressed a bit this year. In key games Mizzou has been unbelievably predictable: Let Daniel drop back 50 times and pass. Given the outstanding pass rush that Ole Miss has, like Texas and OU, you have to like their chances at disrupting Mizzou's offense like Texas and OU did. Really, Ole Miss is a better football team right now. There's little reason to believe otherwise. Missouri hasn't beaten anyone. They lost to crappy Kansas and got embarassed whenever they played top fifteen competiton. Ole Miss on the other hand, was in every game they played. Nearly knocked off top ten Alabama and knocked off top ten Florida. You can't understand the development of Jevan Snead either. Snead might be a tossup with Daniel at this point in their careers. Sneads been dropping NFL passes the last five weeks or so. His development has been instrumental in their rise. I like their chances against Tech in the Cotton Bowl.
  15. If only Ole Miss and Mizzou had played each other with largely the same players they have now sometime recently. I know. Ole Miss went blow for blow versus Mizzou last year. You know Mizzou rushed 36 times for 229 yards, Ole Miss 38 times for gasp....229 yards. Ole Miss threw the ball 41 times for 305. and Mizzou threw it 44 times for 330 yards. Gasp! Everything's the same! The difference was an interception and a fumble, two turnovers. Since then. Mizzou's defense regressed to complete suck. Ole Miss has improved dramatically under Nutt. Oh, they actually have a very good QB now in Jevan Snead. Yep, all indications are you've gotta like Ole Miss in that game.
  16. I like the Rebels over the Tide next fall.
  17. I don't gamble with my money unless I have the system gamed towards I win. I ran a bookie in high school, made quite a bit of money.
  18. you cant change the computers to make it so. florida's going to need one of the following to happen. 1. Get at least 30% of the 1st place votes and Texas get none. 2. Get at least an additional 15% for each 5% that Texas gets. 3. Hawaii to beat Cincinnati tonight.
  19. stoops is such a loser. why the hell is bradford, your stud qb who is having surgery tomorrow, stilll in this game?
  20. ohio state should have won that game..
  21. I didnt say I thought Ohio State would be favored. I just think it would be a good game. 24-17 or something along those lines. I don't think Ohio State would be embarrassed again.
  22. ironically enough when florida played an offense that was the level of the longhorns, red raiders and mizzous they held them to three points, won by thirty-nine, and forced a future top ten NFL pick quarterback to throw 3 interceptions. oh and held a future first round running back to 65 yards on 17 carries.
  23. any team with a good pass rush and average cover corners could stop missouri. ole miss would beat them solidly. alabama would beat them solidly. florida would beat them solidly. kentucky might even be able to knock them off.
  24. Along the same lines. Ohio State has played two teams as good or better than Alabama and they to both of them. I think Alabama and Ohio State matchup well against each other. That would be a fun game to watch. I don't think Alabama would run away with it like Florida and Louisiana State were able to.
  25. if you want to measure things in the correct fashion, youll find that Georgia's is in the league of Mizzou and Tech's.
