  1. I think that's fair. Good luck to both of you.
  2. Pick 3: Welker Harvin Bowe Boldin T.O.
  3. Brian, that's how it works. It's 7 starts/week. I would agree with you too regarding Jake. That wouldn't be fair to other owners.
  4. Charles, Foster, Best
  5. Was thinking about sitting Welker this week due to the fact that he's not 100%. I was thinking T.O., Bowe, and Harvin because of the Reavis thing and because the Pats have an awful secondary and TO will score against them. Any other input?
  6. PPR Dynasty League, 16 Teams.. Need to pick 3 of the following 5. Percy Harvin Dwayne Bowe Anquan Boldin Wes Welker T.O.
  7. YAY! From what I'm being told they're appealing to play this year due to the health of their dad. Glad to have them in Purple!
  8. Gervino stated today that Tony Mitchell won't be ending up at MU. Quite the blow for them.
  9. The draft order is already set.
  10. I like Wallach, but I think that more was given for Dotel (McDonald, Lambo) than we got for Lilly and Theriot.
  11. McDonald and Lambo are better than what we got for Lilly and Theriot as far as I'm concerned.
  12. I think I've pretty well set up my minor leagues through player trades this year. I may even have some minor league trade bait now should I be able to take on pts at the end of the year. I can't remember the last time I was this stacked full of exempt players and a full pretty talented minor league corps. With all the draft picks I"ve accumulated, I could be in pretty good shape next year.
  13. I would imagine Chuck did that. I took Chacin out of his line up, because I got tired of fixing his points. He wasn't scheduled for a start this week, so placing him on reserve made my job easier. I'll take a look at Heyward once the week is over. My grandfather died this morning, so I'm making plans to fly back to Peoria on Wednesday and I'll probably be there for at least a week. I will have internet access, just not as much as usual. I'll check in the best I can since this is the trade deadline week. If someone doesn't see or hear from me by the 2nd in this forum, please create a new thread and calculate the draft order for me. Much appreciated. As far as this commissioner thing goes, Juan passed the torch to me as a temporary thing, and left me with the impression that he would be returning at some point. Now that he's been replaced, we should probably discuss, nominate or bid for the commissioner gig. I was never voted in, and I'm not really all that sure how people feel about me doing it at this time. I'm willing to continue to do it for now, but I'd be happy to step down from this role if people feel someone else is better suited for the position. What say yee? I say you have done a fine job and I have no issue with you continuing to be commish.
  14. I'm not in disagreement with any of this, but say a player is in the minors in real life but is over the requirement to be allowed in the minors. You can put him there can't you if he's truly in the minors? As for Westmoreland, I thought that was allowed in past years, but if not, let me know and I'll have to figure out what I'm going to do with him.
  15. The good that came out of this is that Beasley is guaranteed a ticket out of Miami where he can show off his skills not playing with ball hog Wade.
  16. Don't worry, I'll move some guys out after they pitch tonight..... I've never had a week over 7 starts since the rule was implemented.
  17. If you want to give me commish privs, I can surely help if anyone needs anything and Brian or Tim isn't available.
  18. Sucks that Juan is done, but nice to have you back V.S!
  19. Tootielicious gets Rodello's 4th round pick in the Suzuki/Moustakas trade.
  20. Yes, I'd say so. We're having a yearly minor league draft and they can't be picked up until then, unless they make a ML roster.
  21. You really think UT, OU, and A&M were willing to forgo these offers (Pac 10 and SEC) based on a "stab in the dark"? It's been confirmed to me that Fox has stepped to the table and has presented outcomes with pretty concrete numbers. Otherwise, we'd have had a different outcome. They can't negotiate until the current Fox contract is off the table. People who don't think that a package was presented in some way are very naive.
  22. big surprise. It's over, at least for now. A few years from now, maybe it rears it's head again, but for now, it's a done deal.
  23. Told that even though the contract is initially for 10 teams and there are no immediate plans for expansion, when it does happen it could include any of the following schools: Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, BYU and Air Force. The thought amongst the Big 12 schools is that if they do expand, the mormons and the military bring the most in terms of fans across the nation and would be the most beneficial.
  24. My last post on this for today.. Now officially official: http://www.texassports.com/genrel/061410aaa.html
  25. I was hearing the same thing but maybe ESPN swooped in and got it. Chip Brown just said on 104.9 in Austin "A network didn't want all of its carefully negotiated contracts with the ACC to get blown up and it wanted to protect itself from FOX having rights to Texas and OU thru a Pac-16 network"...i.e. its ESPN. However, this was just posted saying it is fox, which is what I've heard all along: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/spt/stories/061510dnspoblogcoll.a2975b0c.html
